Based on the wording of that last paragraph I guess they want to make it happen as planned, on the 1st of December.
Endurance sports are known to help process trauma and I think is really good from the organisation to offer the victims the option to choose. For the ones that want to go ahead it could be that opportunity to channel some of that pain and anger. I read comments in the marathon Facebook groups from some runners from the affected areas saying that they want the marathon to go ahead as it is their only Outlook in all this tragedy.
I really don't get what the fearmongerers are getting from this. They are literally disrespecting everyone for the sake of it, the victims and the visitors runners.
