So if a 14 seconds improvement in a year at 30 to one of the fastest in history doesn't suggest doping to you, what would? (Katir achieved 8 secs.)
I already said that the numbers, in and of themselves, are outrageous to me and that I typically wouldn't believe them, but then also explained why in this instance I feel differently.
You disagree and that's fine, I completely understand why.
I'm not sure how else you expect me you answer your question?
I was actually interested to know what level of progression would lead you to change your mind and why.

There isn't a "one size fits all" answer to that question. A woman with obvious talent coming back into the sport at 30 after many years away is clearly going to show greater improvement than someone who's been there all along.I n any case, I'm happy to admit that I have a biased view on this, and that ordinarily I simply wouldn't believe this level of improvement.
THIS is why I'm torn.... There is no logic really as to why I think she's clean. But I do think she is, and am very happy to accept others views against that, and indeed any ridicule for my own feelings because I can see that they don't really make sense!
And a common view for lots of the posters on here is there is no way any Brit can be any good at anything without doping. Especially if it's one of the few events the US athletes disappointed in.
Do you think British cycling/Team Skye was clean? There is a similar thread about Australian Track at the moment. To think that certain countries don't dope is a strange notion.

All these sad old men getting so worked up about a woman running faster than them, funny to watch.
What is more interesting is a 30 year old woman with no previous accomplishments of any note in the sport becoming an Olympic medallist in a year with an unmatched improvement at that level in that period of time. She almost doubled Katir's performance jump.
I suppose that winning the European duathlon championship is not an accomplishment of any note. A fact that must be ignored, because it doesn't fit the rather repetitive and simplistic narrative you repeatedly push..

It's really not. She won her age group against a bunch of hobby joggers in a sport nobody has ever heard of.

I think she had a more impressive (or at least equally impressive) run section in that championship than the winner of the elite division who was a former U23 European x-country champion and a 1:11+ half marathoner.

Ok. I'll put it this way then. A 14 sec improvement in performance in one year at 30 doesn't persuade you of doping. So what if it was 15 secs, she beat Hull and won the silver? What if it was 16 secs and she beat Kipyegon? Is there no line in this situation where you would say - yep, doping?

We are talking about track. That is the sport where she now excels but hasn't done do previously until this year, at age 30.
Understandable that you want to stick at this number for a while. But never forget your real goal if 50,000.
So what. Who cares? Only you.
I care too. You are funny and pathetic. It's fun to watch you come here every day for hours repeating the same things, arguing with people. A trully demented man.
I can't help feeling that if someone demonstrated the kind of talent that would put them very high on the all time list they wouldn't walk away from the sport. Arguably she is at a level the likes of which we have never seen in the UK. Surely someone doing duathlon is going to show (if they are training for the running side of the sport too) off the charts talent, to the point of people saying 'surely you should be concentrating on running'.
The talk in the spring was whether she could make the team, even in May/June... Suddenly she's one of the greatest of all time.
