I often read the comments in articles to see if any posters share some insight (or first hand observations) that might help in figuring out what happened.
Anyway, I read this. One guy said he works with people who have fetal alcohol syndrome and that Crooks shows many facial features that are characteristic of this condition.
I mean, I don't know. The kid was obviously mentally ill so I looked up the facial symptoms of fetal alcohol syndrome. One strikingly noticeable feature is that the guy's face is FLAT from the side profile. It almost looks like he has no nose. He also has other facial characteristics of FAS... thin upper lip, smooth philtrum... the area between nose and upper lip without ridges, narrow eye opening (palpebral fissure length).
Regardless, I'd like to know if he was on any medications, especially anti-depressants.
Here's a link that explains everything except the flat nose/face, which is shockingly obvious from a side profile.
Again, I don't know. I'm just throwing this out for comments or if anyone is more knowledgeable of fetal alcohol syndrome.
