The reality in the year 2024 is we are far more likely to see racism when there is none than to actuallly see racism.
The realiity is this. There currently is an 8-page thread - much bigger than this one - talking about they view Hull as suspicious. And CWR refers to Commownealth World Record not Caucasian World Record.
Commonwealth record not Commonwealth world record.
Well, though, Kenya is a Commonwealth country of course.
Not sure why everyone is freaking out about Jess Hull dropping 5 sec from her PB. Georgia Bell (who is 30 years old) dropped 4 seconds from her PB and no one is making any accusations. Enjoy the fact that this is an Olympic year and everyone is bringing it on!

Wow, this Georgia Bell is something else. She turns 31 in October, and before this year her best was 4:12. She ran 3:56 today. I want what she’s having.
imagine you are in the top 0.5% genetic running potential and have the ability to go pro. we know doping is a documented problem. how do you medal at the world stage when you are up against the other 0.5% of genetically gifted runners during a well documented doping epidemic (ie constant bans and past whistleblowers). please explain how it is possible to medal without doping. jess hull is likely doping as is her competition, but make no mistake, she's really gifted.

Antidoping efforts only catch dopers who are sloppy, but it's effective enough that you generally have to microdose and cycle off before major competitions, making it possible for sufficiently talented clean athletes to compete.
No idea who's doping and who isn't, but I'll just say that Kipyegon's progression has always passed the smell test for me, and I believe St. Pierre is capable of something similar to what Hull just did, 3:52 at the slowest if she chased Kipyegon like this.

That's because she took several years off. Her athletic age is several years younger than her chronological age because she'd been staying health-level fit rather than competition-level fit up into last year, so she hasn't put the same amount of wear and tear on her body as the women who have been competing consistently since their late teens.

I don't care that she's gifted. She's doping and lying about it. It's not life or death to get a medal. She doesn't have to cheat.

Shoes, competition, very fast track, altitude, lights, etc. Who knows. She may had one spectacular day today.
But those are all things she's had before, right? It's not like this was her first time in modern shoes, or facing high-level competition, etc. It's not like she'd never been pushed before, or had faster runners to tuck behind. It's not like she never had a good race until today.
I don't really know what to make of it. It's surprising no matter how you look at it. Even if it was due to doping, you still have to wonder...what, did she start doping like 2 weeks ago? Why the sudden drop?
But let's not pretend that it's just a case of, oh, I'm not surprised - I see this all the time when experienced veteran world-class runners keep working hard and stay mentally tough, they frequently improve their lifetime best by 2-3% in a single race - no explanation needed. Face it - it's weird!! If I, personally, like Jess Hull, had been running the 1500 at a high level for years and years, 5 or 10 or more times per year, in highly competitive situations, Diamond League, global champs, etc., including some races that were no-holds-barred time trials with faster runners ahead of me, and then all of a sudden I went out and ran a personal best by 5 seconds...I'd want an explanation!!

No that doesn’t fully explain it at all. Look at her progression. This is just nonsense. Why would she be so much better now? There is a reason but it is NOT because she took 3 years off in her prime. She wasn’t very good before her break.
She's probably learned a lot from the last Kipyegon WR 13 months ago. She did a lot of running in no man's land (for lack of a better phrase). Crazy to think that entering that race, Hull's PB was 8 seconds slower (3:58.81). Seems like leaving UAC and moving back home 15 months ago and having a Peter/Seb Coe thing going on with her original coach "meticulous" Dad helped heaps.

There’s literally an entire several page long thread debating if Hull is doping …
People judge doping by circumstances. Kenya had a tons of dopers in last several years. They don't seem to care as long as they can cash the check until they get caught. Kipyegon should be an exception as she already gathered enough coins. She is not desperate. I don't think Hull would be doping either because she had it pretty good without running faster. She is the top distance gal for Australia. Why ruin that with doping and ruin her career? This is why I think it's the spikes. Were they wearing new prototype Nike middle distance spikes similar to ones worn by 5000 & 10000 runners in US trials?
This is where everyone has it wrong. In track there is no incentive to not dole other than a ban. If you can potentially make hundreds of thousands and potentially millions of dollars, why wouldn’t you?
