Weini Kelati lost some ground in the 2nd half but a very good finish just out of the top 10. One thing about her is that she really goes for it. She went with the leaders and unfortunately paid for it at the end. Gutsy effort.

I am glad she went for it even though in hindsight pretty dumb. At least it lets her understand the gap and that she’s gonna have to work. She could have probably placed 7th-9th or something but I think seeing what it takes to be near the front might be more valuable for a young ish athlete.

How many times is Tim Hutchings going to call Chebet at World champion on the track when she isn't? Paula even purposely corrected him early in the race and he didn't pick up on it and just repeated it during the race recap.
