You're the one who said they were the most talented middle school group ever. Prove it. 4:40s and 4:50s guys are a dime a dozen in SoCal. The Youngs were running track years before 8th grade but not with impressive results. The only way you know they were "super talented" is by what they ran after Brosnan was coaching them for years.

Soles won an national championship with Herriman in his 2nd year. It took Brosnan 3. Soles will also get more sub 9 runners at Herriman in a shorter time than Brosnan.
You are forgetting to mention that Brosnan INJURED his 3:55 guy at UCLA. More than half of his team at UCLA actually GOT SLOWER.
Have you considered that Smith might have asked Brosnan to Flagstaff as a consultant? Perhaps to help turn around the underperforming Sahlman brothers?
The Sahlman brothers are both underperforming because they're both 800 guys who both chose to attend a 5k/10k school (or at the very least doubling 3k and 5k). NAU was never a good option for either of them

You are all way to obsesed with Brsonan. He is not coaching, why do any of you care? He coached what may have been the greatest High School Cross Country team in history. He recieved a ton of attention then, as would any coach, good bad or indifferent. He lives rent free in your head since then. Let it go.
