American cops shoot and kill over 1,000 people a year.
Based on the official numbers (no clue how accurate these are -- I am sure they are not overstated), 389 were white, 225 black, 120 Hispanic, 22 "other", and 341 "unknown". Why so many unknown (this happens every year, not just in 2023). This basically renders the race breakdown worthless...well over 30% classified as other or unknown
