Yes. She ran the fastest times in college last year. She ran all over the world. Her schedule was expertly set up in order to allow her to excel. There are thousands of women competing in college. It is very arrogant for a random poster to claim to know more about how to get the very best athlete to a hgiher level. Do you hear how silly that sounds? Imagine how good Graham Blanks would be at NAU. How good would Valby be at NAU? I wonder how good Willis and Whittaker would be if they weren't worried about each other and if they didn't have the academic rigor of Stanford. Maybe if Willis would have stayed home at Wisconsin, she would be faster than Wiley.

I'm not trying to be disingenuous. I wrote out some things that I think are well-established vs not-yet proven or unknown, but I deleted them because you've probably seen similar things. I probably do give more benefit of the doubt than most. I despise the quick judgement culture that is everywhere online. I personally would hate to condemn someone and then later find out that I was wrong because I was too quick to judge or easily duped. I especially think Wiley deserves even more leniency. She didn't cause the issues.

So, to you, if anyone you know has a "shady reputation" you should cancel them, lest someone think poorly of you, too?

On the one hand Wiley will always be a bit of a layup for a troll. On the other hand, talking about talent (which is nebulous), putting AWs name next to AM’s (which always stirs people up), and the “based on her XC domination” lol… that’s a pretty good topic line.

She has great talent and great results. She’s barely scratched the surface on what she can do.
