The unprecedented spate of world records in running, such as the women's ridiculous marathon record, shows it isn't "foot speed" that matters now. Only one thing does. Drugs. It's the answer for everything and the only credible explanation.

Are you okay?
I am not sure if he is OK but he has concluded that drugs are “the answer for everything” so presumably he is on them even as he types. That is the “only credible explanation.”

I would be careful to be so unequivocal in my theorization of astounding performances. As they say don't be too quick to jump to conclusion. There is always a confluence of factors to the truth, not just one. Just my 2 cents
They mocked and downvoted you. But you are the one who nailed it. The Olympics further showed this. Jakob dominates in the longer races.
He time trialed a 3:28 low from the front and you think this somehow proves that he's too slow to break the WR?
He is free to prove us all wrong. You think he ran that 328 on his own??? The competition having faster kicks provided the motivation for that run. Any slower and he might not even have been 4th.

Yeah he cannot do it. How many bites at the apple? He cannot do it.
Correct - he's been a pro at running paced races since he became world class and hasn't been able to do it. And he's been shifting his training toward the longer stuff.. his speed is just falling short of getting him there. But almost doesn't count.
