There was a time when I said I’d respect other people’s chosen pronouns, despite not personally believing in the gender dysphoria trend. Over time, I’ve retracted that view point. The transgender movement is a mental illness, a cry for attention, and is crossing too many boundaries.
It is one thing to be a man who transitions into a “woman” but that is not the same as being a biological woman. As a woman, I do not like seeing men such as Dylan Mulvaney simplify my existence is such a misoginistic way.
When it comes to sports, the point is to test the limits of the human body. The point of separating sports the men and women’s categories is to test the limits of two bodies with entirely different functions. Women are not simply small men.
Nikki states that she wakes up some days feeling masculine and some days feeling feminine. As a woman, some days I feel like fishing and turning wrenches, but some days I feel like making girly art projects and wearing dresses. How I feel or want to do each day does not change my identity as a woman. I also think how I feel (mentally, athletically, etc.) is highly dependent on my menstrual cycle during which my hormone levels change. For example, women tend feel more feminine or flirty during ovulation.
The issue that arises is that Nikki wakes up on race day feeling like a woman. She has a female body & belongs in the women’s category. Despite being the fastest woman in US history, it would not be biologically fair for her to run in the men’s category. She would be a non factor. I would also be surprised if she transitioned to a man and became just as successful in the men’s category (American Record Holder). If she transitioned, it wouldn’t be testing the limits of the male body. It would be seeking the limits of a female body altered and medicated to become something it is not.
And finally, being trans or gay or non-binary is not a personality or a hobby. There’s no need to shove down everyone’s throats and make it the topic of every conversation. I’m not interested in your sex life or the fact that you want a d*ck for Christmas…but that’s all these people want to talk about. So that’s what we’re talking about & when the response is not complicit to mental illness, they get angry.
If an anorexic girl told me she was fat, I wouldn’t help her diet or lose weight so she can be happy. I would get her professional help to see the truth.
Runragged, in your earlier post, you mentioned that men have misgendered you and other women in the past. I am assuming that this is because you have or have had short hair, wore masculine clothing and presented yourself in a masculine way. If a male coworker of yours referred to you as a man because of this, insisted that he didn’t think of you as a real women because of this and repeatedly referred to you with male pronouns are you telling me that you would be perfectly OK with this?
It's reasonable in that case because she actually IS a woman. Nikki looks like a woman, races against other women, IS a woman and is angry that others are calling her a woman. Your analogy doesn't work.
Runragged said in an earlier post that she is completely unbothered by people referring to her as a man, and using male pronouns to describe her. I'm simply calling her bluff. It is not uncommon for people to mockingly use female pronouns for feminine presenting men, or masculine presenting women, and to insist that they are not "real men" or not "real women" because of their gender presentation/expression. Those types of people are clearly recognizing another person's gender based on their mannerisms, interests, clothing, behavior etc. These same types of people then do a complete 180 and refuse to use the preferred pronouns for transwomen and transmen, and insist that they are not "real women" or "real men" because of their sex assigned at birth. My analogy is spot on.

Nikki being transgender doesn’t change how fast they run. They are still testing the limits of the human body. As I said before, a 4:16 man and a 4:16 woman are still just 4:16 athletes. You can’t act like you have to equate a 4:16 performance by a woman with some kind of performance by an elite man. No real comparison can be made there.

"No real comparison can me made there."
You think there is no difference between a man running 4:16 and a woman running 4:16? Really? So you must think all women's sports suck because men run much faster than 4:16 at the elite level. The reason we separate sports into Men's and Women's categories is precisely because we can compare the differences between their respective performances. There is a huge difference between a man running 4:16 and a woman --- the latter would be extremely rare and one of the fastest women in the world. The other is some dude in high school.

Yeah, no worries, we never believed you even back then coz most folks who say “I respect their choice but..” just don’t give a fûck about them.

I wouldn’t say women’s sports suck. 4:16 is still pretty fast. It’s the same way I don’t really find the WNBA to be as impressive to watch as the NBA. I’m guessing you do.
“The reason we separate sports into Men's and Women's categories is precisely because we can compare the differences between their respective performances.”
“Hiltz had gotten to this point, they said, partially because of the community around them that cheers not because of their fast times but because of what and who they stand for, starting with themselves.”
“Wokeness”
”This is woke, that is woke, everything my snowflake ass doesn’t like is woke!”
You sound like Ron DePansy..you poor wittle thing! Boooohooohooo
Here’s the problem with Nikki. Honestly the they/ them pronoun isn’t an issue. The reason Nikki gets hate is because Nikki wasn’t to have it both ways. Nikki gets upset when Nikki is misgendered. Yet, Nikki also says we shouldn’t call a woman’s race a woman’s race and we shouldn’t call the other women in the race women. Instead we should call them running or athletes.
Nikki wants you to adhere to Nikki’s pronouns. Nikki also wants the women Nikki races against to be denied their pronouns.

Serious question: Does Nikki say "we" and "our" when talking about herself? If she says "I" and "my," why does she expect everyone else to use plural pronouns when she won't even do it?
