AW has an interesting article out on the WR and how ridiculous Kratochvílová’s double at Worlds was that year:
Trickiest of all was Tuesday August 9 when she won her 400m semi-final in 51.08 and the 800m final in 1:54.68 just 35 minutes later, although AW’s coverage at the time suggests there was as little as 24 minutes between her leaving the track after the 400m and returning for the 800m. Then, the following day, she passed 200m in 23.2 before clocking 47.99 in the 400m final to beat Koch’s world record of 48.16.
I think the elephant in the room that is the sure give away is look at the friggin bulge in her shorts in many/most of the stills. Jarmila is packing a mangina. Massive muscles everywhere - absolutely, but oversized in the crotch too. Serious roids...

Most eastern bloc women did not shave their armpits as well.
If you had ever seen her she was very feminine; but with the medical problem at the jaw: neck.
And some people here are saying that Mu has a chance of breaking that 800m WR. Delusional.
I agree with the official world record. But her 1:55.04 is probably the best clean time ever or at least top 3 to run the distance. The only women ahead of her would be Pamela Jelimo and Ana Fidelia Quirot, both I would question if they were clean. Potentially, Ana Fidelia Quirot (CUB) 1.54.44 (1989) was clean but that era has me doubting, but I do think Mu can beat that time in her career. Pamela Jelimo was probably not clean with all the recent Kenyan drug issues.
Clitoromegaly is a condition that causes an enlargement of the clitoris's erectile tissue. It is commonly caused by testosterone therapy such as Biote.
Caused by testosterone - which is what turinabol is. We don't have to guess. If you can see the mound, the truth is found.
(for anyone not clicking on the link, it says women who take testosterone for any of many health reasons "are often uncomfortable with how the condition makes their anatomy look.")

I first saw a picture of her in a book, when i was a teenager, and thought she was a man.My jaw dropped when i read she was a woman. This is back in the late 80s.Id never heard of her, before that.
No one knows what drugs jarmila took. She was rumoured to be on dianabol and stromba, but she probably took whole cocktails. She looked to be on much larger doses than the east germans.Apparently even the east germans laughed at how masculine she looked.
C'mon Jeff....no female in her right mind is going to use Dianabol.
This was the anabolic that was so popular with the golden era bodybuilders (e.g, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, Rick Dresin, etc) because of it's ability to put on incredible mass & strength in a relatively short amount of time.
Watch this video with this female athlete talk about the preference of Turinabol over D-bol.
Jamila swears she never knowingly took any drugs. I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say perhaps she didn't. The East European countries drugging machine was very sophisticated and it is definitely a possibility that she was being fed whatever she was taking with her vitamines or such without her ever knowing.
If that is true then, she was incredibly naive but it was a different world back then and perhaps she didn't. Perhaps she simply didn't want to know. My opinion though is that she was the most heavily drugged track and field athlete ever. One look at that body tells you that. But perhaps she was a naive pawn being used by the government. Still guilty though.

I think that's a true statement, but she knowingly took what she was told was vitamin B12, which was actually steroids. Only doping can explain a world record that's lasted 40 years and is still far ahead of today's runners with super spikes and super tracks.
Kelly Holmes was another of a similar build who improved, disappeared quickly and didn't have kids.
Just look at who Holmes beat in the 1500m final and how many of those tested positive.
She's lucky she wears a British vest, and that the antics of Farah, Radcliffe, and Froome etc. have allowed her achievements to not be carefully questioned.
