I know of an athlete with genuine thyroid problems that left them unable to physically do their event for 3 years, I wouldn't like it if they were pressured into posting their TUEs and having a significant amount of people not believe them.
No need to worry. Your friend doesn't need a TUE. Thyroid meds don't require a TUE. They never have.

I think he went down the road less traveled in a way that makes almost anyone think the transfer of knowledge may have an affect on future situations with a variable and similar case when concluding previous years proved erroneous based on reactions from bystanders. Not to mention the extended use of hyperbole when questioned in interviews, alluding to insincere connotations and colorations of character when describing the correct demeanor required for such a position to be in question.
Effect* not affect. Please get educated.
Actually, I have a Masters Degree from an Ivy League school. Where did you go to school exactly? "Get educated", LMFAO, this sounds very redneck. And secondly, this is a correct usage of the word, you dumb plebe. Understand prose & read more. Thanks.

You do not need a TUE for thyroid medication. Yes, people do get TUEs and abuse the system, but the thyroid discussion needs to stop. You do not need a TUE for it. You do need a prescription though. You cannot get it without one. If prescribed it, it’s because your body (pituitary gland) is overworking to produce thyroid stimulating hormone, meaning your thyroid is not properly functioning. Symptoms of an underactive thyroid include tiredness, fatigue, headaches, weight gain, lethargy and an undiagnosed underactive thyroid absolutely causes a decrease in athletic performance. For people who have an underactive thyroid (lots of narps, lots of athletes), the medication only replaces what their body is unable to produce. Having an overactive thyroid is also a problem, so taking too much of the thyroid medication is entirely counterproductive. Taking too much of it would be similar to someone with a normal thyroid taking the medication. It would make you jittery, give you heart problems and potentially bone stress issues. With a diagnosed underactive thyroid, thyroxine dosage is carefully prescribed and monitored to ensure levels stay in the normal range, the same as people who have a working thyroid. People need to understand that athletes can and do get diagnosed with underactive thyroids and other than taking thyroid replacement medication, there is nothing else that can be done. Until there is a cure, those who get diagnosed will be on thyroxine for the rest of their lives.

You’re just wrong
Here's a direct quote from a WADA FAQ:
"A TUE can only be granted for a substance or method that is prohibited. Thyroid hormones, most analgesics and many inhaled beta-2 agonists (when taken in therapeutic doses) are not prohibited."
Last week there was a serious situation in the panic room involving 5 plagiarists and a doctor while operating on Craig's foot following a minor accident on his property while working on a chicken coop next to one of his RVs. He slipped on bird seed, look it up.
