When the giant social network has a full-day outage or rebrands itself as "Meta," the internet can't help but poke fun with some hilarious Facebook memes.
The only Roy Rogers I've seen in forever is on the PA turnpike, I guess they're successful there because they have a captive audience there. I've eaten there and the food is pretty good for fast food, but you have to wait in line for a half hour to get it.
The only correct answer is one that doesn't exist any longer because it went under. I've seen a lot that are doing poorly named but the one that fell the furthest has to be totally gone. Maybe Chi-Chi's.
Ah yes Chi-ch’s! The first Mexican restaurant in our sheltered slice of the midwest opened in the 70s. Before then I had no clue what a taco was LOL. Put out of business by a hepatitis A outbreak from green onions in the Monaca PA store (which is the one I frequented back then). Running joke for about a year on the local rock station was that David Gilmore of Pink Floyd was hanging out at the bar there!

I was at Chi-Chi's many years ago for a Cinco de Mayo. Margaritas and Tequila, drunk as I ever got, ended up throwing up all over a couch. Ole!
Burger King? Seems like at one point they were giving Micky Ds a run for their money.
Hungry Howies? Used to love their buffet
Quiznos? Are there more than 20 of those in the US?
I wouldn’t call any of the above restaurants. More like fast food chains. That being said, Burger King down here in Australia seems to have all but evaporated!
I'd agree with Burger King falling the hardest and breaking their crown.
BK is circling the drain, and I wonder how much longer they're going to last before going the way of Burger Chef (the last serious national competitor to McDonalds). They have gone majorly downhill in quality and value. I used to work at McDonalds way back in the day, and I much preferred BK. The quality and flavor of the meat, cheese, and other ingredients always justified the slight premium of a Whopper over Le Big Mac/Royale with Cheese. I hadn't been to BK in a while, but I was in a blood sugar, food of last resort situation and ordered a Whopper with Cheese (no meal or drink - just the sandwich). It was $9.49 and would've been more than $10, but thankfully, we pay no sales tax in Oregon. Flavor-wise, it wasn't nearly as good as it used to be. Comparably, the Royale with Cheese is $4.79 here - same size patty, similar flavor. I can't imagine why BK is charging almost $5 more for theirs, other than a captive audience who has a strong hatred of Mayor McCheese's politics.
Why would you allow them to add cheese to your Whopper?
I used to love krispykreme doughnuts but over the past decade it seems like they either changed their formulation or they have gone down hill
I hate the new cheese they use at Chipotle (bring back the fluffy white stuff!)
I still love Burger King though. 5 guys is still good too, but I miss some of the old random ass toppings they used to offer like peanut butter and jelly

Burger King is branded as Hungry Jack's in Australia. The parent company of BK, Restaurant Brands International, also owns Tim Hortons, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs. BK is not going away any time soon. It has around 18,000 restaurants in over 100 countries.
But for it to fall, it had to have been good once upon a time. When was Applebee's ever good? I've been unfortunate enough to have eaten there a few times over the last few decades, and it has sucked every time.
You’re an idiot. You went back to one ONCE and make a blanket statement for a whole franchise. Applebees has been the same for decades. You just grew up. Just like “flight of the navigator” was a cool movie as a child, but now it sucks.
Your analogy doesn't work, because I NEVER liked Applebee's...not as a teenager, not as a college student who went there with other people because they wanted to go there, not as a 30-something on the road and the only place to stop for miles was a f*cking Applebee's, not as a 40-something with young children at home and we decided to go there due to a good deal they had at the time, not as a 50-something dude who found myself once again at that horrible restaurant because someone I knew was having a birthday dinner there. The food there sucks, and it sucks hard. I can find frozen food at Fresh Thyme or Trader Joe's that I heat up at home that is better. If it's not the worst chain restaurant still operating, then I just haven't eaten at the worst.
It cracks me up that you folks think all these places are "restaurants". They are fast food joints.
I think even McDonalds is called McDonalds restaurant though. Maybe anything that has sit down eating inside.
A place where meals are served to the public. An establishment for the sale of refreshments, both food and drink; a place where meals are served; an eating-house. An eating house.

I fear Jersey Mike's is turning into another Subway. Expanding way too fast. selling franchises without proper training.
last couple times I was in one felt like a Subway. messy, unorganized, slow, and food overall didn't taste as good.
I used to go to the original Mike's on Arnold Ave in Point Pleasant, before hitting Arnold Theater for Dollar movies, they were the best. Fresh bread and cold cuts always.
