Yes, Athing Mu ran well today. But she still isn't going to beat Faith Kipyegon in the 1500 at next year's Olympics.

What about the doping factor? It is possible that Bobby is planning on doping Athing Mu so that she could be an 800/1500 medal threat. Obviously she is a gold medalist already at 800m. If he dopes and trains her to 3:57 shape, which may be possible, in a championship race she is dangerous. I am not sure what he has in mind but one cannot rule out something rather ambitious and calculating which would apparently surprise some of you.
And so it goes…

He likes to keep his athletes and himself talked about. That's the main thing for him.
Well said. I guess it is working for now…
Bobby Kersee is not such a great coach. He has great athletes. I think Athing Mu is a natural 800 meter runner, you don't put her in the worlds without training for that meet as an 800 runner, not the 1500,400 or whatever. That was a horrible decision and an embarrassment. If I were her, I'd get a new coach. He sucks. The worst part about it is, she should have and could have won. Shame on you Bobby

Yes, she should find another coach. But she is probably tied up in a contract that will be difficult to extricate.
