Since you ask, I'll go right on 4:02. Logic is kt was very solid at that 4:24 level indoor. Now continued good training, lightly raced outdoor.. Still April too early for any faster. 4:02 would be collegiate all time #2.
As the announcer called her Katelyn Towlie might have chased too many times indoors. No bounce to step. I think nc state is starting to pay the price for their grueling workouts.
Of course not. I would even guess that her training times were indicating a very fast time given how the race was paced. But that is why I never predict a time. Too many variables. You never know how you are going to feel when the gun sounds.
assuming the pacing was right they must have thought very low 4:00s was achievable - but it did not happen.
Particularly when she took the lead at that already fast pace. She must have had a plan that just didn’t work out tonight. But even still, 13th best time ever. No complaints here.

that is when I noted she seemed to be working hard (too hard for that early)
Dang, Markezich must be having some sort of issue. DNS again.
A frustrating sport at times, not knowing who is going to race until 30 sec before the gun. Let's hope the withdrawals were precautionary and minor--just a niggle, as they say.
