I am confused. Your sub 4 miles were not while competing for Creighton, were they? And the website does NOT list a track and field team, only a X-country team. Is the website incorrect?

Currently at five different schools, only one of which is DI . . . Hofstra!

Not an insult. Creighton doesn't have track and it is an unfunded XC team. Those facts make it essentially a weak D3 team by definition because D3 programs have track and they are unfunded. Like I said, I have had kids contact them and the head coach told them that.

For the last time, we have track (why don’t you look at Trffs, if you do not sponsor track you cannot run in more than 5 races, we have run at 7 meets, so either we have broken the rules or we do sponsor track). We have sponsored it for two years now. As I said, email me if you have questions.

Do you mean TFRRS? What place were you at conference meet last month? Oh yeah. The Big East says you don't have track. The head coach says you don't have track. He says you don't have scholarships either. You have been a lot of help.

Creighton has no scholarships yet you are here telling kids that they will get large scholarships.

The bottom line is that people come here claiming that kids get scholarships for times that just aren't true. When kids and coaches and parents present their current real life experience, people talk about anecdotal information from 10 years ago and they can't produce the names of any teams that are paying for the levels of performance being discussed.

As this person says, there is a huge difference between scholarship..full or partials...and need based aid, and athletic converted to academic...there are a whole bunch of flavors..I am not going looking back on this, to see if you posted your times..Full scholarships for IH'ers? Kind of rare unless you can run 14 flat or lower for the highs or project to that, or are a huge leg on a good, not average program's 4 x 4 as well..most are. There are programs fully funded on Women's side and not on the guy's side. TRack monies are not as easy to find as some might think, and many parents are delusional.

Use the talent to get into a real school. Large state schools are bloated degree factories that are job training centers. Look at some smaller schools that actually educate people. Davidson College, Hillsdale College, Claremont Colleges, etc.

All awful schools with super limited opportunities.

And freaking expensive.

Genuinely, they might do some things well but no one in the real world cares about them.

Honest questions. Why doesn't the Creighton athletics page list T&F since, as you mentioned, there are results for Creighton on the Big East section of TFRRS? You used the term "sponsor". Does that mean Creighton T&F is a club sport and not a varsity sport? Does Creighton offer T&F scholarships?

I have little knowledge on Creighton ok previous years, but I do know a distance guy who got a very good scholarship for track @creighton

Great question, track was added and approved right before the previous AD retired. The new AD didn’t want to put in on the website prior to the announcement of the transformation committees verdict (they were concerned that they would reduce minimum sports required and didn’t want to list it on the website just to cut it). We will compete in the Big East next year and should have it added to the website this summer, we can qualify athletes for regionals and nationals. As I said email me if you have further questions.

The coach that I was recruited by and am running for only responded after two months and many emails. So, originally (during junior track) you should have been patient but now the game has changed obviously as it’s just a few weeks away from enrollment.

First of all, I don’t need to post my son’s times. It’s none of your business. He’s a good kid, but has less than zero interest in Creighton. He deserves better.
