David constantly harassed and made Wiley and her team uncomfortable. I watched him run to chase her out of the post race corral, she was running away from him. Parents had to form a wall to separate him from chasing her, other girls on the team were crying because they were scared of david, and they had to threaten to call the cops on David. Then a cop stood at HU’s team camp the rest of the meet.
. . . David was no longer employed by the Indy star, but if you want to buy his story of a buyout go ahead. Remember this is the same guy who wrote a story trying to ‘bring awareness to rape’ but put it behind a pay wall to make a buck.
Like it was his choice to put it behind a paywall?? I’m sure that was Gannett’s decision. And there were several reporters who took the buyout at that time, so it doesn’t seem suspicious at all.
As another person at the crossroads meet, the stuff about David is really all true as far as the conference meet. I saw most of it unfold, along with the cop (who was standing right next to the pine tree by their team camp concluding the girl's team race and Woods chasing Wiley). Sounds like ForFusion is biased and lives in their own reality. So much of a Huntington Hater he can't see straight.

The new coach has Wiley sleeping in altitude tents….Was that his idea or Nick’s idea?
Also she hates David Woods because he broke the story and declines interview from him specifically but takes interviews from a different dyestat person.
Reading the article it sure doesn't look like she is leaving Huntington anytime soon to join a D1 school.
The D1 schools probably don’t want her especially after what she did to CU. Too much risk and too much drama.
What is the point of starting these threads? Everyone knows it will just elicit a negative reaction. And that a handful of insiders and/or people with apparent agendas will use it to grind their particular axe. The whole situation is an eyesore on the sport.
I agree that it seems like a bad decision for Wiley to publicly side with the Johsnons and to speak against former athletes who were abused. I agree that it would have been in her best interest to get away from Huntington and the Johnsons after graduation. I understand why many followers of the sport would be skeptical about the legitimacy of the times run by Wiley and the "methods" that might have been used.
However, I still view Wiley as a victim. She appears to have been groomed from an early age by manipulative and evil coaches. After reading the police and news reports regarding the utter failure of the Johnsons and others in authority at HU, the issue of whether or not Wiley may or may not have used illegal substances is of small concern to me.
I hope that Wiley gets the help she needs to be free of this situation. I hope that those who had the ability to stop the abuse but didn't are held accountable for their actions. Perhaps if we imagined that a 15yo -19yo that we knew (a distant cousin, a niece of an acquaintance, etc.) were in this situation, we would be able to have more compassion for a young lady who likely has been mistreated for years.

Sorry (not sorry!) but the issue of using illegal substances is a legitimate concern to the other competitors in the sport. What about their rights to fair competition? This ****show is not their fault and they shouldn’t be cheated just because they made better choices in life. It’s also not like she is being held prisoner by the Johnsons. She has chosen of her own free will to stay because their methods give her a competitive advantage she can’t get elsewhere.

I'm surprised he didn't wind up in jail either or at least get a talking to by the police...if he's chasing the girls team and Addy around? At least the parents were there to help.
Notice how he didn't hang around and bother them once the boys ran...they would have gone after him.
Maybe Butler or Grand Valley would offer her a half scholarship. Maybe.
But would Wiley really want to leave the Johnsons that Wiley has admitted give her that extra special something, and go to a brand new coach who doesn't have the secret recipe to success?
I guess there could be a few teams desperate enough for points to take that on. I could see a couple other SEC schools as well (Florida, Texas) since they are usually the ones contending for a team title. Whatever - as long as she doesn’t darken the doors of NC State.
