Surely I can't be the only one on LRC who thinks there's more going with DiCaprio and his 3+ decades of supposed girlfriends than meets the eye.
I've always assumed that the bevy of young women who've served as "arm candy" for Leo on a revolving-door basis for his whole adult life are all paid "beards" hired under contract to make the world believe the myth that Leo's a world-class "ladies' man" deserving of the title of his 1997 biography, "Leonardo DiCaprio: Modern Day Romeo."
Behind the scenes, rumors have circulated for years that Leo's true love is his longtime companion Lukas Haas. Those two have been joined at the hip since they began living together in the mid-late 1990s.
In the 30 years since the extremely-talented Mr DiCaprio's screen career first started to take off in the early 1990s, DiCaprio and the leams of professional image-managers behind and around him have succeeded in carrying out a carefully-crafted PR campaign to convince the wold that Leo is not just a stud, but he's an exclusively straight stud too.
Of course, many people have thought all along that whole thing is a tad too over-the-top to be credible. Even in the 1990s, the whole "pxssy posse" schtick that Leo and his guy pals put on came off in some people's eyes as evidence that they were trying too way too hard to create a particular impression.
Then there's the ever-changing cast of alleged girlfriends who've been parading in and out of Leo's life like clockwork for 30 years now. Does no one else wonder why all these young women suddenly appear on the scene in Leo's life with predictable regularity, then just as predictably exit stage left after a set time of relatively short duration?
Does no one else wonder why in more than three decades, Leo's supposed shagging of large numbers of nubile young women has not resulted in any progeny? AFAICT, none of DiCaprio's putative female bed partners appear to have gotten pregnant by him, much less given birth and filed a paternity suit against him. Given how Uber-wealthy, powerful and world-famous the man is, it seems odd that not a single woman in Leo's life has seen fit to claim that he's the daddy of their "love child."
Surely I can't be the only one here who suspects Leo and his supposed lady loves are putting on a charade scripted and directed by some of tinsel town's finest. Or does everyone truly believe that at nearly 50 years of age, Leonardo DiCaprio really is a "modern-day Romeo" who for some mysterious reason just can't find love with a woman that manages to last beyond a brief time?
