Unless I missed it, I’m surprised that nobody ever mentioned Karsten. He’s not quite at the Armstrong level but is probably headed that way.
I’m a cyclist and never liked Armstrong. Probably because he was such a bully. I was done with him when he started bullying Greg LeMond, a cyclist that Armstrong didn’t have a fraction of the natural talent of. Everyone knew that everyone doped in the Armstrong era so it wasn’t a huge deal. Armstrong’s coverups and other actions are what make him such a huge POS.
Good call on Warholm. Someone mentioned Crouser earlier and he has been pretty dominant.
All of this "Lance-level" stuff cracks me up. Yes, he was talented, but as you mentioned, he was not nearly as talented as Greg LeMond. LeMond was the most talented cyclist that ever came out of the USA and Armstrong knew it and it drove him nuts. The fact that he was clean just made it worse for Lance because he knew that he would have never gotten to LeMond's level without PEDs.
Lance Armstrong was a media-driven sensation for elitist Americans. Our elitist media promoted him over other athletes because he fit their narrative of a super-American athlete beating the rest of the world. Outside of Europe, a silly bike race among rich people means nothing, most kids in the world have never ridden a bike.
The US media tried to push their white savior to the highest level and created his fame. Once he had that fame, he couldn't stop doping or appearing on TV.

Lol aren't most cyclists white? There's not really a need for a "white savior" in that sport.
I don’t care if bolt tested positive for every drug under the sun plus a couple that haven’t been invented yet; there’s a 0% chance they make it public at this point. Would be terrible for the sport
