But, too many (ridiculous) coincidences to NOT arouse serious suspicion. That is a monster score, “out of nowhere”
Looking at his results, there's nothing in particular that screams doping to me. His progressions are good, his inconsistency still exists, his technical events like PV and LJ and DT have improved nicely. I guess that for me it is really only these missed tests that arouse suspicion.
8867 is huge, though. Let me look it up...#14 all-time. Staying uninjured is huge, many of the top guys will tell you that they always had their best score in them, it just took the right conditions--environment and health--to permit it to unfold. Everything has to go right, and it is IMO the most complicated set of factors for any athletic discipline.
Having said that, I have zero sympathy for anybody who misses 3 tests. Zero.
