A lot of Jewish people are in power in Hollywood. That's a fact. Is pointing that out anti-semitic? I don't think so. But it gets dicey real quick when you start talking about "The jews". I mean most businesses are normally run by white people or Christians. If you start talking about "The whites" or "The christians" you probably aren't doing so for a good reason. A better example might be blacks and crime. Blacks commit crimes at a higher rate than whites. Ok fact. But when you start talking "blacks" or "the blacks" you are being racist and denying them individuality.
But let's don't act like Jews dont' control Hollywood. In 2008, a Jewish guy wrote a column in the LA times. He was upset Jews weren't admitting they ran Hollywood.
When the studio chiefs took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago to demand that the Screen Actors Guild settle its contract, the open letter was signed by: News Corp. President Peter Chernin (Jewish), Paramount Pictures Chairman Brad Grey (Jewish), Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger (Jewish), Sony Pictures Chairman Michael Lynton (surprise, Dutch Jew), Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer (Jewish), CBS Corp. Chief Executive Leslie Moonves (so Jewish his great uncle was the first prime minister of Israel), MGM Chairman Harry Sloan (Jewish) and NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker (mega-Jewish). If either of the Weinstein brothers had signed, this group would have not only the power to shut down all film production but to form a minyan with enough Fiji water on hand to fill a mikvah.
For the sake of this discussion I'll accept your info about these studio heads being Jewish? And then what? Here's where this can go downhill. These people, who are Jewish, work for their respective studios. There is nothing that binds them, other than they're of Jewish backgrounds of diverse and varying degrees. They don't have secret meetings in "Jew World." They don't make decisions for their studios for the betterment of Jews or Israel or AIPAC, etc. Their decisions are made solely for the betterment of their respective companies. They probably differ from one another in many ways, politically, religiously, socially, etc.
I have no problem with anyone saying that Jews have figured prominently in Hollywood since just after its beginnings until the present because it's true. But it's what some people do with that information that can be troubling. If they take that info to tie it into a historical canard that Jews run the show and are all connected to each other in a conspiracy masterminded somewhere then yeah, that's antisemitism. It's like saying there's a group of Jews who meet every Saturday night in lower Manhattan after shabbat ends and while playing pinochle they conspire to get their scheming hands on every aspect of the U.S. government and economy. Sadly, there are still many people who think that this is how the world really operates.
There is a reason we get so many Holocaust movies.
There is a reason that slave owners and traders are always shown to be non Jews.
There is a reason that we have over 100 memorial and museums in the USA but only one to slavery and to the genocide of the natives. you know, events that took place here and lasted centuries vs. an event that took place an ocean away and lasted a handful of years.
Did you read the actual tweet, guy? I know what the real term is, I used quotes to show what Ye said.
Do you know why he tweeted that?
Saying that you are going to go “death con” 3 on Jewish people is anti-Semitic, regardless of why he he tweeted it. You can’t twist that any other way buddy.
Time for the brothers Johnson to pull this thread. No one who isn't Jewish gets to tell Jews what is antisemitic or not. Chappelle is normalizing antisemitism, along with Kanye West and Kylie Irving and Trump and Mastriano and fools like Greene and Boebert, among others. This entire thread is atrocious.

So you don't know the facts.
He meant defcom 3 and it is a defensive mode.
He was under attack from Jewish groups for being critical about Kushner.

Apparently he was upset with one of his Drs, who is Jewish.

Can never allow views that run counter to the ADL narrative.
Can smear anyone you want as an antisemite is kosher though.
Calling this a double standaard is an understatment.

His trainer had him hospitalized and drugged a few years ago and just threatened to send him to Zombieland again in a recent tweet. Also upset Kushner got a big piece of the Kardashians business while he, the husband, did not. And that druggie Pete Davidson is around his kids. He commented on these which triggered a massive attack on him as an anti-semite as it seems Jews cannot be criticized. This caused his death con 3 comment

Only one museum to slavery? Carmine, sounds like you need to go on a road trip. I just came back from vacation in the Southeast and visited Nashville & Memphis. In Memphis alone there's the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Hotel and the Slave Underground Railroad Museum. I recommend that anyone going to Memphis to listen to blues on Beale Street set aside time to visit these museums.
Love Chappelle and think this set was funny. It does make me uneasy that carmine is so excited about it though. It is always the people that forget something is a comedy routine who miss the context. That is why comedy is dying because instead of understanding how jokes work a good number of people are now just offended.

The worst you could maybe argue is that he’s apologizing for it.

So ots ok to be upset at Jews because 1 Jewish Dr thinks he's unstable and the Jewish son in law of his good friend Trump got a piece of his wife's business. Blaming the Jews in this case is antisemitic. And when he has followers who will act on it, it becomes dangerous.

Truly the biggest problem with it that I can see. Carmine seems to believe that this is validation for his anti-Semitic beliefs which means other anti-Semites did too. Dave should have probably been more explicit in denouncing it

In spite of all these Holocaust museums and memorials people like you and the author of Kyrie's movie still don't believe it happened.
If you went to many of the museums you'd see exhibits set aside discussing acts of hate perpetrated on other people. The message is often, the Holocaust happened in Europe AND it could happen again if we dehumanize and marginalize others.
My beef is simply that Chappelle is saying the Jews control Hollywood. As i understand it, and I did some research, there was a large percent of the people who originally founded Hollywood studios that were jewish, but it is no longer true to say they control it, This is especially pernicious because it feeds into the larger narrative that the Jews are in control and want to cancel others out. I find those beliefs hateful and wrong.
I am particularly sensitive to these things with the recent waves of attacks and anti-semitic fervor directed at Jews, among others. It starts with normalizing racial stereotypes like those offered by DC.
Lastly, I don't know if the SNL qualifies as racist or not. But I am damn sure that it is plays on anti-semitic stereotypes. And for that reason, I will not be one of his fans nor support him in any way in the future.

The US has simply become "revolving door" of victimhood hasn't it. Seriously think back over the last 4 years it's one "disparaged" group after another lining up after another with some example of how they are the victims of hate, just begging for some type of sympathy (power) - it's absolutely tragic.
I can't stand Kyrie Irving. He's the epitome of the mega-entitled a$wipe professional sportsperson that believes his athletic ability has transcended to intellectual ability and sadly has the platform to tell us all the way life is and how it should be lived. But thing is, he has a right to and I can change channels, close the app at any time. He also has a right to watch whatever garbage he wants to - you don't have to like it but it's his choice.
The suspension of Irving is preposterous. If exercising an amendment right in this country and not disavowing it based on content is seen as bringing the league into disrepute then that's troubling - if the league really wanted to investigate behaviours of it's players across the board that bought it's integrity into disrepute we might as well wipe 30 games off the schedule every season. Lebron can go on his own show barbershop show, drop N-bombs and talk about how he hated all white people when he was at high school and that doesn't bring the league into disrepute? GTFOH
Chappelle was incredible. Good on him - he's an incredibly smart guy and has the platform through his profession and reputation to say the things that need to be said without being cancelled to oblivion. Massive win.
And before the swathe of SJW downvotes come in on this post, just remember...
1] while I agree if there are certainly groups that overplay the victim card it's quite revealing that you feel that this is "absolutely tragic" while the people who are truly victims of hate/ bias/prejudice [ and there are plenty].... you're like: "meh."
2] " The suspension of Irving ... (for)exercising an amendment right...is preposterous."
For the last friggin time, first amendment is not absolute, and private businesses can do as they please regarding the speech of their employees. Will you dingbats ever get that?
Of course you can boycott the NBA over this but I'm sure you did that a long time ago [ due to the large number of thugs, er ...black people, that play in the league]
3] I will certainly acknowledge there is some inconsistency on what bad behavior they allow players to get away with before suffering consequences, however your example of LeBron James is complete BS.
Just like your hero Donald Trump pathologically does, you flat out LIED about what he said. He never said he "HATED" all white people in HS. He said there was a culture shock of going to an all-white School and *initially* he wanted "nothing to do with the white people" as he thought they also wanted nothing to do with him and looked down on him. He said he was institutionalized to think this way. His friend, I guess who played with him, said that very soon after that they all became friends, the black players and the white kids.
But that's not good enough for you, huh? Nope, keep spreading your hate and lies cuz it serves your agenda.
Posts shared thousands of times on Facebook claim that NBA superstar LeBron James said he wanted “nothing to do with white people.” While James did say this, the quote has been taken out of context, with the post calling him...
4] all those saying SNL was " finally funny!" because a comedian said some stuff they agreed with are pathetic. It's been hilarious many times and just cuz it hurt your feelings those other times doesn't mean it wasn't funny before. Babies.
