As much as Walker is a terrible candidate too, a win for him means Joe Manchin can still keep the liberals in check, which is a very good thing. Otherwise, they will just go another reckless spending spree loaded with pork. That’s about it.

A Senate seat is 6 years.
There’s huge motivation for Republicans or Democrats to have that seat locked up for the next 6 years.If a Republican wins the White House in 2024 and no Senate seats flip in that election, then thus Georgia runoff in December would determine Senate control in 2025.

And for the record, GOP administrations have far outspent Dem administrations in my lifetime. That is a GOP narrative spun to fool uninformed, like crime, etc. I guess when you do not present any policies that help average people you grasp at lies against the other side.

Why did a guy with Fetterman's issues get elected? It is all about choices. Oz was a disliked carpetbagger with a some controversial professional opinions and he was pushed by the Big Orange Man whose star is descending. A moderate, non-Trump GOP candidate might well have won that seat for the GOP.

Democrats have 60% of all Federal spending baked in no matter who is in power.
