It's not just her twang. it's her entire presentation.
Yes, it's dishonest to just say it's racist. She can't seem to get anything right, she sounded like someone begging for help after her DFL. She is the poster child for someone who is in dire need of a mentor or positive influence. When last, don't go off about your greatness and swear and look stupid. after something like getting booted from the Olympic team, many would take a long look at themselves. She didn't and she's utterly lost. Maybe that's the day you skip the interview.
I didn’t use the word “racist”. She didn’t sound to me like begging for help, rather she sounded like she had shocking confidence in herself despite a terrible run. Granted, she may be in need of a mentor.
We don’t know that she didn’t take a long hard look at herself after being (legitimately) booted from the Olympics.
She couldn’t skip the interview as that’s part of the contract and was probably the single most important thing for her sponsors and race organizers irrespective of her performance.
If you put aside her twang, her words (even after defeat) and her makeup and everything are all accepted in other women runners. In fact, those same words were positively viewed even in her own second interview that just sounded like the same SCR but one that went to a nicer school.
