Betting odds in Maine are more than 2:1 that the Dem will win the senate seat.
Saw some public opinion poll that favored the Dem heavily also... great news.. we need to knock out a few and Senate is done. What is also great is that this election cycle was supposed to be advantageous for Rs, but they are def going to lose seats. If Dems take the Senate they have a good chance of keeping it for a while.

Great news

I’m surprised the people of the Lincoln Project want Susan Collins gone.
I thought they were Republicans against Trump.
Why would they want a Democrat to replace Collins in Maine?
Don’t they want conservative votes without the ugliness of Trump’s leadership?
Or are they straight up supporting all Democrats now?
They are going after anyone who has supported Trump. Scorched earth policy. Good for them. To save what was once the GOP, I think this strategy is necessary. Collins is a Trump apologist. Time for her to go.

I hope he survives unscathed, but if anyone deserved to get this virus, it is this a$$hole. His refusal to wear a mask and the example that that set has for sure led to deaths in his state. If Biden somehow manages to win Texas, Gohmert will be brought up as part of why...a loser loud mouth who denied the severity of the coronavirus who then got it. It will be even worse for Trump if Gohmert dies.

Since the 2018 midterm the analyses I've seen point out that the Republicans are defending more senate seats in 2020. It's not clear how that would be advantageous for them.

The defense of Senate seats has resulted in Trump telling the RNC to not spend any money to defend any House seats, let alone add any House seats. Trump and the RNC have completely abandoned the House. It seems Trump has decided that all he needs to control the country is himself and a 50 Republicans in the Senate with Moscow Mitch at the wheel.
The RNC has rolled over and become the Trump National Committee. Money has been pouring out of the RNC and into multi entities that are all connected to or owned by Trump.

Americans reject Trump's police state tactics once they hear the truth (federal agents gassing and firing less lethal rounds on largely peaceful protesters) and not swallow WH/FoxNews/OANN spin (vast leftist militias have destroyed an American city!!!). Trump's anti-American vision plus his physical, psychological, and leadership weakness is on full display now.

It will come out that these "federal officers" (all untrained) are all "private contractors" with not a single one actually employed by the government. They are off-the-books and Congress has no control over them. ... So, how are they being paid? They money to pay the "federal officers" is coming from somewhere. And where it is coming from is a tightly held secret.

Lol - this is worth watching. Literally every single thing he says is a lie, and he gives it away at the beginning of statements. "Frankly" = I'm about to lie. "They" = nobody.
There can't be many people dumber than Gohmert.
He finds out he has a highly contagious deadly disease and he rushes back to his office so he can tell people IN PERSON.
It's so dumb that I actually challenge this reporting.
Following his positive test result, Gohmert didn’t immediately isolate and self-quarantine, as health experts advise. He reportedly returned to his office, saying he wanted to inform his staffers of the test result in person rather than having them learn from news reports. Several staffers were already in the process of leaving by the time he arrived.

Wow that is scary dumb. I am willing to bet he had not cared to educate himself on the virus at all. In his position he would have needed to know about COVID and how it works, if one assumes he cares at all about the people he represents.

If only there were some sort of system that would allow him to communicate with staff despite not being present at the same location as them!

I never saw that - that is hilarious.
(although I suspect it is edited beyond all recognition of the original convo)

I'm not a huge fan of Bill, but Religulous is one of my favorite movies.
