You need to view a recording of the event. Then you could probably tell for sure.

That cognitive test designed to see if someone is capable for independent living or is on decline toward future need of care was a total and typical trump con. Any average normal adult would do very well on that test. Trump is playing that con as only trump can do. But here is the truth. Both trump and Biden have some normal age related cognitive decline. Neither will be as good at learning new video games as they would have been 30 years ago but so what. But judgement is more important for a president than processing speed. But here is the huge difference between Biden and trump. Biden knows his limitations, knows when to listen to experts. Trump has no idea of his limitations and that makes him very dangerous.

Best response I’ve read on here in a long time. Whether it’s ignorance or ego, Trump believes he can do it all when he clearly can’t. The last 3.5 years have shown as much. We would have all benefitted from him deferring to the more qualified people in the room. But what’s him the most dangerous is that his propaganda machine has convinced as much at 40% of Americans that he’s doing a good job. Stunning that this many people can be brainwashed.

When trump started to do really well in the primary, Rs started to publicly back him and leaned on this idea that it didn't even matter how experienced and competent POTUS is, as long as they had good people around them. That was also trump's big campaign point ("only the best people"). Many were comforted that Pence was there. Even I thought he actually would more often than not just defer to the experts. Almost immediately though, he started his diplomacy through tweeting, in direct conflict with some of his admin's positions.. then the turnover started and we began learning that his COS and others had to pull documents from his desk so some crazy idea would be delayed or forgotten. Fast forward to this COVID crisis, there are no good people around him, they are all yes-men and the GOP just looks the other way at best. He has been operating in an unhinged fashion and its a total clusterfk.

A very very bad day out there. Everything is getting worse, in terms of deaths.

Globally, the worst single day of deaths since the peak days of mid April.

Going back to my usual 7 day rolling average, it's all bad.

US new cyclical high, worst since June 6.

World new cyclical hight worst since May 3

FL, CA, TX = new all time highest deaths.

AZ seems to be plateauing at a high level.

Add all four problem states and it's an all time high, 20% higher than a week ago.

I will say that the rate of worsening in the 4 problem states is slowing. Those states may be 20% worse than a week ago, but that' the lowest we've seen. It was more like 40% weekly growth a few days ago

Trump's problem is a combination of ignorance and ego. His supporters are all just ignorant little babies who want to be taken care of by an authoritarian.
