But in an ideal world they'd do the debate on say Tuesday night, and then broadcast it on Wednesday night after a neutral band of factcheckers went over it for a day. And give some sort of Green - yellow - red spectrum of truth evaluation to what the candidates say.

The moderators won't factcheck - no way. Not their job.

A week or two ago, some editorialist proposed that Biden agree to debate only after Trump releases his taxes and that the last ten minutes of the time slot be reserved for a fact checking panel. It's not going to happen, but that would be amusing.

A problem with fact checking is that politicians all spin half truths in their favor, so no one is beyond criticism by motivated partisans on the other side. Trump is on a whole different level, but fact checking can't be done in a way that's immune to criticism.

Let's see Dementia Joe sit down for a 1 hr interview with Wallace. He gives his little speeches, but he rarely takes questions. And the few he does take are pre-approved.

Why does your nominee need somebody else to speak for him at the convention? How can anyone think he is a viable candidate?

Kasich isn't replacing Biden as a speaker. I think when the article says that Kasich is speaking for Biden, it means that Kasich is speaking in favor of Biden. Biden will be speaking at the convention.

If this is true, this is a boost to Biden in Ohio in particular, but with moderate Republicans everywhere.

Lots of differences between this year and 2016. One of the biggest differences is the willingness, maybe even eagerness, this year of Republicans to openly campaign against Trump and in favor of Biden.

As much as a lot of Republicans maybe couldn't stand Trump in 2016, I don't remember any of them openly working against him or in favor of Clinton. Certainly not like the Lincoln Project or, if this report is true, Kasich speaking at the Dems convention.

Yeah, the idea is that Kasich is endorsing Biden and will speak at the convention. Kind of like when Scott Baio spoke at Trump's convention.

Biff needs to go to his nearest Cosco and stock up his bunker for the long lonely evening of Tuesday, Nov 3. It will be a rough night for him, and I can't say I will be playing any part in consoling him.

1. There is no villain this time

2. Trump has baggage from 4 years of failure

3. Republicans and big donors are revolving
