I just realised that one of his alleged PB's is 350 miles 75hrs 29mins.

Yet he hopes to do just 350 miles in a six day race? Surely he should be backing himself to do something truly epic?

Yeah, if that PB was anything more than just 'alleged'.

I can't see that he will do these 6 day races. It would be the final nail in the coffin, surely, when he fails to put in the kind of performance needed to "silence the haters".

Doubt it. How few miles do you think Rob would have to cover to convince people who can't grasp how outrageous his current claims are? And I can't imagine these events are stacked with the kind of numbers to stop him getting an impressively sounding position

True I suppose, although I think he has some die-hard fans who wouldn't need him to compete at all. Even if the report comes out against RY there are always going to be a few who won't accept it.

Not a record attempt though- 26 a day then some 40's.

Absolutely, this is precisely what he does. Bronze at the ETU Long Distance Triathlon in the U25 age group. There were only 6 entered and I wouldn't be surprised, give how far behind the others he was, if only 3 too part. 23rd at the World Biathle champs in the Junior Men's age group.... In a field of 23 and selected on the basis that they take a 6 man squad but only 4 wanted to go. Winning the transcon race he won against a field of complete nobodies.

The guy is a master at doing shit performances and making people marvel at them. He's a worse than club standard runner who does stunts because he is nowhere near good enough to win legit races.

Plus he counted the transcon race as multiple races. Out of the 96 'marathon & ultra race wins' he mentions on his website, the majority of those were stages from that race, where he was mostly racing women or blokes over 50.

Are SKINS hoping for a whitewash?

Might just be a setup so they can feign shock and surprise when the independent review is released and shows that RY either definitively cheated, or that he deleted and otherwise avoided capturing and releasing data that would back up his record attempt.

Or, they've already heard back from the review that no real data exists anymore due to accidents with the original watches and accounts so it's RY's word against everyone else, and RY is too nice to be lying like all these internet scumbags.

Agreed. Before they ever made an announcement about the independent investigation they surely did what little homework it would have taken to see what the claims of cheating were all about, all tied up with a bow here, on Facebook, and at

. Only a clueless idiot would truly believe in Rob Young after that. Others here have vouched for the integrity of the investigators, so we can be pretty sure that the investigation will not come out nicely for Rob, Dustin, and Mike.

Yeah lots of accidents....still loving his FB comment about "making room on the watch by manually deleting old activities" which we know is not possible

on a TomTom.

I'm more than a little worried we are going to get a big inconclusive verdict due to no data left for the experts to actually analyse. This will Skin's the opportunity to stick their heads in the sand and keep supporting RY.

If he has deleted evidence as we suspect does anyone think the investigators will look into how much is missing, how it could have been deleted etc? Or are these guys strictly doing an analysis of what does exist

But what would be the benefit to them to do that? I could understand if he was a really talented athlete who was massively beneficial to their brand, but he's not, and they must now realise that.

I'm confused about this deleted data claim. If you CAN'T delete data off the Tomtom device, then how can he fool the investigators?

If so, why are people saying he'll get away with it by simply deleting data.

Surely he CAN delete data, and probably has. Although he put screen shots of the Tomtom data on his facebook, so that is evidence

I really, really doubt it. The CEO's whole schtick is based on ethics and honor in sport. The evidence against RY is overwhelming. If SKINS whitewashes it and lets it go Fuller is going to piss off the most hardcore fans of track and field and make his brand a joke.

SKINS may not be able to legally get their sponsorship money back, but I predict they at least will throw a ton of shade at RY and never work with him again.
