Sure. Like Trump's revealing the previous president's official portrait like prior presidents have have done for their predecessors.
Or, like putting Clinton's official portrait in a storage closet where he can pretend it does not exist.
Or, like putting Bush's official portrait in a storage closet because Bush said things about Trump that Trump did not like.
A John Lewis comment about Trump: "I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president."
Lewis also voted to impeach Trump.
So, TBF . . . . a positive Trump comment about Lewis is not happening.
So, yeah, The Gap is hanging in at 15.x percentage points. What I'm finding interesting in recent days is that the Disapproval percentage is not increasing (and maybe dropping slightly), but the Approval percentage keeps getting chipped away: It's now at 40.2%.
Approval hasn't been under 40% since early last year, and I predicted that it wouldn't happen this year. If it does I'll acknowledge the error--I thought the Trump Forty was set in stone. Well, I've been wrong before...

Yeah, about that... wrote:

Come on, nobody believes that!

Trump has been under 37% on 538 (36.4% in mid-December 2017). The "Trump Forty" has a foundation as solid as his new border wall.

This is why Trump will not do well in the debates. He's too dumb, lazy and arrogant to prepare, but that won't stop him from making easily disprovable claims. His only hope is to somehow get Hannity to moderate.
At this rate, I think he’s going to cower out of debating Biden. He will use any of many excuses he can come up with. Knowing his chance of winning is slim he will not want to go through the embarrassment. He will want to leave as an eternal victim of the deep state and will carry that narrative over to whatever media project he’s planning. His main priority from now on will be to keep himself in his bubble and no damage his precious ego anymore than he has to.

Trump’s doing the right thing by stopping Antifa from attacking residents and destroying property in Portland. If you have a problem with that, then there is no hope for you.

Wrong. Try again.
"Saddened to hear the news of civil rights hero John Lewis passing. Melania and I send our prayers to he and his family." - President Trump
Flags at the WH and at the Capitol were lowered to honor him.

Yeah, he got the message 14 hours later after a couple dozen tweets in between rounds of golf...

I didn't say anything about a *positive* Trump comment. I said that I thought Trump would *acknowledge* (Trollminator's question) Lewis's passing.
And he did.

This was obviously written by his staff.
Tiny was not saddened by the death of John Lewis. This is the guy who didn't even visit his dying brother in the hospital. He went to the movies instead.
7/18 Data
Should be no surprise to anyone that the data have continued to show a nation and world in bad shape and quickly getting worse.
Looking the 7 day average of daily deaths:
The US is climbing every day in the wrong direction and the highest in around a month.
The world is climbing every day in the wrong direction and is the highest since May 10.
The four problem US states are horrific, showing deaths climbing 30% over a week ago.
The only good news I can see is that the rate of worsening in the four problem states is slowing.
A week ago daily deaths were rising 80% week over week...now that figure is only 30%. But 30% is a very, very large number.
No idea how this is going to end without a vaccine since so many dumb as merde Americans won't wear masks, and the Federal Government is actively supporting the virus' path.
Trump might be saddened as it takes some attention away from him.
