When you look at the approval chart you see his best numbers since his inauguration happened and the end of March this year.
That's when he came on TV and announced that we have a pandemic and he's closing travel from Europe.
He had daily briefings telling Americans to social distance and he stood next to Fauci and let him speak on the public health concerns.
He could only keep that up for a month. He got openly annoyed when reporters asked him about the death counts.
He announced he wanted everything open by Easter so people could go to church.
He extended federal guidelines to April 30 and then totally bailed out at that point.
Since the beginning of May he has gone on attack and totally gave up on leading people to safety.
Go back and look at the trajectory of that chart since May 1.
Now look at his current battle - school openings.
He has demanded that all schools fully open for students to be in schools on a daily basis at the beginning of this upcoming school year in September.
He is even threatening withholding federal funding.
This week many schools have announced that they will not open for in person teaching and will start with online teaching for the first semester.
He can't campaign on - vote for me an I will open schools. He's president now and failing at that.
I have no idea what his pitch is. And I don't see how he turns it around.
And I think we have now had 16 straight weeks of 1 million new unemployment claims.
