Regarding the UN vote on Ukraine, as inspired by commentary I heard this morning on the radio:
1943: "America doesn't want to look backward. This war is terrible, and we just want peace. Come on France, Poland, Russia, Belgium, Holland, etc., you don't need ALL of your land back, do you? And we won't pledge to help you if Hitler comes at you again. But we just want peace."
