This thread was deleted by a volunteer moderator. I certainly don't want a thread this big deleted so I've restored. THat being said, this thread has served it's purpose. I've closed it to new posts.
We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.
Marvin Hagler's family sure wish he had not taken the jab.
Hmm Marvin's wife.. "I was the only person close to him until the last minute, and I am the only person that know how things went not even his family know all the details and I do NOT accept to read some stupid comment without knowing really what happen," she wrote, apologizing at the start of the post for potentially broken English. "For sure wasn't the vaccine that caused his death. My baby left in peace with his usually smile and now is not the time to talk nonsense."
What percentage of the vaxxed believe their choice was the correct choice ?
What percentage of the unvaxxed believe their choice was the correct choice ?
I think we know which group has greater confidence.
Despite our differences (me being a rational person and you being a meme edge lord).
This is an interesting question.
I found that 90% of the vaxxed believe their choice was correct
couldn't find a precise number for the other way just anecdotes but I would guess Herman Cain is one of them.
also who care about greater "confidence". It is well documented that stupid people are more confident in their bad decisions.
"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt."
It is not really an interesting question. Anyone in the United States who wants to be vaccinated has been vaccinated. The more interesting question would be comparing the number of vaccinated people who think they should not have been vaccinated to do the number of vaccinated people who think they should’ve gotten vaccinated earlier.

Do antivaxxers go to a doctor in the United States for annual physical or is that service out of the budget? One of the only anti-VAX I know IRL was my Uber driver so probably no way to go see a doctor.
Great. Walked 3 miles today. I start back running next week. Thankful to be unvaxxed and strong.
honestly. no jive. I'm glad you haven't got covid and I hope your running goes well. But It am happy to be vaxxed and strong. There is a world for both of us. (now that most people did the hard work for you all)

That's not quite correct. There is a sizeable amount of people who want to be vaccinated but cannot. (due to allegries or other conditions that make vaccines not safe FOR THEM). In the parlance of the anti-vaxxers. I know about half a dozen people who cannot take this vaccine.
But your second query was partially answered. The "vaccine" regret is about 10% of vaccinated people. It's also hard to determine "vaccinated earlier" because the roll out was pretty specific. Most people I know got a vax as soon as they could but that time frame varied depending on condition, age, location, even job.

Wait and see how the vaxxed answer 6 to 12 months from now. Terrible news is coming, I guarantee it. How that news is released to the public without causing calamitous panic will be a challenge to national leaders all over the world.

As you scratch your head reading the response of the antivaxers, I recommend the book the death of expertise. It gives some clarity as to how and why in the US there is a growing hostility to experts in their fields and the belief that "I am very smart because I did my own research".
Here is what is going on locally because of covid antivax nutjobs and right wingers. Two stories back to back about Hospital recieving death threats and Trumper's (like Michael Flynn) trying to strip a hospital of their govt funding.
Medical misinformation, often provided under the cover of freedom of speech, can lead to a mistrust of science and ultimately harm to patients. While misinfo...

No coincidence that Marvin, a perfectly healthy 66 year old, gets the jab, and falls ill and dies within a few days.
That Tommy Hearns tweets out to pray for Marvin as he is sick after the jab but Tommy was sure he would recover. Marvin is dead less than 24 hours later. Hearns is smeared as an "antivaxxer"
He was a local guy and I am pissed this happened and that they leaned on his wife to shrug it off. His wife does not know his cause of death but does know it was not the jab! Come in
