This will be good for her record breaking, however. That course was hilly. She can now choose another race with a better course for a record.
What will her next race be?
Quick, someone start a gofundme for Jill's son who was in a skateboarding accident right before her historic 10 mile AR attempt. The more we give, the faster her family will get back on her feet so we can see her shatter the record.
You guys to lay off of them. Her son had a siezure. Would you have raced the next day or have been with your son?
So the old course was short. Wouldn't that be the same course that Jill ran faster than the American Record during a training run?
The RD said he saw the the GPS data of this miraculous training run. How come he didn't notice the course was short then?

The facebook page deleted any mention of Jill or the record attempt....super sketchy....
No it is right there plain as day.
Talks about the family emergency course certification and AR attempt.
Sets up nicely for another attempt on April 1 don't ya think.

And her daughter was in a car wreck.
Hope everyone recovers quickly so she doesn't miss the Olympics.
All roads lead to April 1 now.
It is inevitable
"Although we were honored that she chose our race for the record attempt, a family emergency prevented her from running on Saturday. Good luck in your upcoming races, Jill, and keep us in mind next year."
Record attempt? What record attempt? There is absolutely no reference anywhere on the Facebook page about any record attempt. Or anyone named 'Jill'.
Very confusing...

I heard that her SON was in a car wreck and flown to CHOP. Heard this from a friend of a friend early Saturday. Not sure where all the other stories originated.
Actually there is an April Fool's 10-mile run in nearby Kutztown (this year it falls on April 2nd) it has been certified in the past, but looks like the certification expired. It is also a hilly course, but having run both, I would say it is a little bit faster.
I don't understand. Okay, this attempt didn't work out due to family emergencies, but why doesn't she attempt an AR at another distance then?
5,000M: 14:42.64 track Molly Huddle 14:50 road Molly Huddle
10,000M: 30:22:22 Shalane Flanagan 31:03 road Shalane Flanagan
1:07:34 Half Marathon Deena Kastor
Is she really going to wait an entire year to make her AR attempt, which will also be her first race ever?

Wow. 2 car crashes and a skateboard accident? Anyone should be excused following that.
Patience everyone. It's just a matter of time before the AR drops.

But yet that evening when asked on FB about the attempt not happening, the "running DR" responds "disappointing". So her coach and employer makes that response knowing that Jill's kid was in an accident, hospitalized, having seizures etc.. This all just stinks. Its all a sham.
Haven't you guys seen that Seinfeld episode? "I choose not to race." Jerry was actually really fast, but just didn't want to run. When he was forced to, he won. I think this proves that Jill is the real deal.I'm gonna head out on Monkey Run and do a bar crawl at Johnny O's, Dino's, Pixel, Dunbar's and close the night at the Chapter House if anyone wants to join.

Close to reality, but not close enough little man.
Getting pretty obvious who started and is continuing this .
Going to do an Arboretum loop from Barton in your honor RJ.
As for WJ, I'll do a Hammond Hill loop.
Habs, right....
Had a beer with Stiener the other day at Mahogany btw.
It just gets more and more bizarre and surreal.
Who is this woman really. We know she exists, where she works, who her sister is, even a bit about her parents, but nothing about her, the person, if were are to believe Bodkin and Sedicum, who is the unofficial holder of the AR for 10 miles. Crazy.
Guess where Rossi went for rehab after his broken foot in the Fall?
The guy played us.
The whole Jill Greathouse thing and the whole Brian Lawlor thing have both been just so baffling to me. The running community's always had its share of weirdos, odd ducks, serial liars, and cheaters, from Gerry Lindgren, to Rosie Ruiz, to Kip Litton, Mike Rossi and A*ex V*ada. But in all those cases there was at least something discernibly human, something comprehensible hidden behind all the weirdness. But the unrelenting, narcissistic madness of Brian Lawlor and the sheer bizarreness of the Bob Bodkin/Austin Sedicum/Jill Greathouse saga just defy any explanation that I've been able to come up with.

So, in his ongoing defense of being accused of being a lying, cheating douchebag, he convinces others to put their official organization and professional reputations behind being lying, cheating douchebags?
If that's true, he's doing it wrong.
Fortunately for Jill, the first responder in her son's accident was VT alum Alex Malycke, who attended to her son while reassuring her that he had friends that would help her get that record, even if the authorities try to intervene.
