I noticed that too. It should have been a 4 hour lap 109. Instead it's just 2:24. Good thing that this is not a valid performance and just a fund raising event.
See post above. Absolute made up BS
...I wonder what old Sneakers' excuse to this will be....
If I look at him walking now, all I am doing is assuming from being in lane 1 at 12:30pm he is halfway through an MS that started after the last one finished at 10:07am...but then again, I have been wrong on that every time, as none of the laps have even been that long
So after this observation at 12:30pm, halfway through master lap, and the subsequent observations by other posters verifying this, the next master lap somehow finished at , wait for it.....12:30pm....someone should tell the ghost of Einstein about this time travel.
They are not even hiding the fact that its 'made up', and has been so the last 11 days
I think that this point, everybody just wants to go home.
...and if you hover the cursor over the time of day, the current date is actually 24th October....maybe the timing company is actually a time travel company

Hilarious. The race started on Oct 13th according to Barefoot Sports Timing.

You are hallucinating after watching endless hours of Nedd going around in a circle.....
Or, you could just politely message the timing crew that Nedd only did a partial lap 109 and then started lap 110. They could either not be aware after staring at their screens all this time or they could already be working on a fix to the splits for a partial lap.
Likely this is the longest continuous timing event by far they have ever done. After all, what other sport is dumb enough to have someone continuously move around for 10+ days in endless circles?

Let's be really clear - this isn't an accurate depiction of ultrarunning as a sport. Nedd has chosen this setup, albeit with seemingly terrible and/or ill-informed support and advice behind the scenes.
On timing....as a contractor, if my employer pays me to do a job for 1 day or 10 days, I'm going to deliver the same quality regardless. Hopefully good. Whether I'm a 'good' contractor is a separate discussion :) For a top-tier timing company, with events that log thousands of athletes' times, I expect nothing less than a minimal degree of accuracy and integrity in the basics.

Ah... the partial master lap, forgot about that one. What is that one called, the Toddler lap perhaps, to be followed by the Mister lap?
I think you are watching endless hours. I made an observation at 12:30pm that does not correlate with him finishing the master lap...and no this is not the longest event they have 'timed' because they have shown no evidence of live electronic timing
Nedd's most recent Instagram story - he says he's running/walking 200 metre blocks due to knee issues. The stadium is 'kicking them off the track' at midday on Wednesday so he's trying to complete the 1000 miles by then. He's so deeply exhausted he can't even explain it.
I wish he'd pull the pin on this, it's just a suffer-fest. Is there anything to be gained by walking it in??
Did the Nedd team introduce the 'kicking them off the track' language, or has this just evolved naturally, so to speak? Reason for asking is that this is the sort of (potential) narrative framing that can change how I think about their marketing tactics.

...as I pointed out, Guinness WR required actual time stamps that showed electronic connection to the timing chip from me when bloke wanted to claim a marathon best in formal suit...
... but to get $$$ from fame, all you need is a charity, gullible followers and do your thing

cheers
Actually, I haven't watched any video of Nedd at all for this event. I had better thing to do with my time, like mow the grass and rake the leaves.

For your benefit if they had electronic timing, there is absolutely zero to fix, they could go to sleep and it will still time and update live.
Ultras are so slow, and multi day ones much slower, that I was in a plane over the ocean east of Australia when I logged in to delete some reads when someone walked over mats. They don't need to even be there.
I genuinely think someone should let the company know if that lap was half baked as if Nedd stops at 1000 miles and they find that out, or someone says that afterwards, it would be pretty devastating. Can't deny the perseverance out there right now...
I actually just find it sad that there's so many people that have such a negatively outlook of life here.
The accusations the young bloke has had thrown at him have gone from cheating, stealing, disrespecting, racketeering, fraud, money laundering - this whole thread is nothing else but weird, and I genuinely feel sad, if nothing else that there's people out there that still need to bring people down.
I genuinely hope that you find you all find your peace and can be happy in your every day worlds x

Perhaps the timing crew had the same idea as you and are not even on site.

That’s his job to do not let’s ribs he’s the one that is meant to make sure he has a legitimate way I’m measuring time and distance
Nice. I didn’t see that detail there last time I looked. Recent update? All that’s missing there is the detail about alternating clockwise and counterclockwise for each “master lap”.
It’s a bit different to the og insta uploads about WAML and the description on nedsuncomfortablechallenge faq page.
Minor details. All for a good cause. Not an official WR attempt. Let’s not sweat the small stuff right?
Sure, but why would you not just run round the precisely measured track at its minimum distance (400m) and not start messing about with specific lane distances? I've done track ultras and its just 400m/lap no matter what lane you decide to run in.
Its also a nice round number so easy to keep count of.
This master lap nonsense just screams obfuscation, straight out of the playbook of all the other rubbish attempts by influencers at records.
