Is Jesuit LA really above Southlake Carroll or is it another example of running in a race with higher speed ratings?? Southlake is one of the favorites to podium at nxn.
If I remember correctly, none of the top 3 South teams, Vandegrift, Jesuit LA, Southlake Carroll, have gone head to head so far.
I think we'd have to see a head to head before we could call anything, because while on paper the Carroll boys should podium/top 5 at NXN, I really do think that Vandegrift and Jesuit are legit teams in their own right.
I could easily see the speed ratings order being correct, or the opposite order being right, or anywhere in between.
Vandergrift deserved an at large spot last year. They nearly beat SLC (who went on to finish 3rd at NXN) at state. The gimmicky NXR South course hurts a team like Vandergrift and favors a team like slc
Barret barely misses the course record - absolutely puts him as a contender for the individual title.
CBA showed up, their 4-5 were a little behind where I would say - "this team will win nats". I still give the edge to Herriman, but its way closer than people think - CBA is absolutely in the national title conversation.
do you know if it's the exact same course as nxr southwest?
I know the 2023 course was muddy but the 2022 course was dry
the course may have been dry, but it was extremely hot in Phoenix. According to the source I checked, the high temperature yesterday was 111°F, and it was still around 100°F even at 9:55 PM when the race began!

No they didn't.
They finished 3rd at Regionals, the out of state folks came in and beat them for second.
Interesting Girls results! Ryin Miller proved her rise with the win over Dyestat #25 Katelyn Rupe. Katelyn's Sophomore teammate Kaylie Shultz got 2nd. That must have been an epic podium battle.

A Jesuit OR guy is counted in the Jesuit CA scoring but they still win without him
What are you talking about?? Jesuit CA won that with only jesuit CA runners fair and square. 82-137 over Cheyenne Mountain CO. It's not going to matter though cause Northwest and Southwest best teams already beat us but hopefully people stop bagging on us.

Yes. 15:25.5 at Bowdoin is flying. Number 3 performance behind the 15:18 and 15:23 (Principe)
Barrett is going to be very tough to beat.

I was just saying that Wroblewski (from Jesuit OR) was originally included in Jesuit CA’s scoring in the live results by mistake. But that got fixed. And this didn’t change the fact that Jesuit CA won the race

You're right, I forgot principe dropped his own record to :18. Thought it was still :23. Honestly, I think Barret could break it anyways
