That's not true though. Being a presidential candidate doesn't and shouldn't make you immune from the law. The law is the law and should apply equally, whether you're ex-Pres, left, right, male, female, black, white...

He announced that he was running for president after the investigation began and before he was indicted. Announcing a run for president makes him a candidate -- that is how candidate is defined.

No case was made for Obama improperly holding or lying about classified information. As for Clinton's 'socks' case, those documents were not classified.

The taking of classified documents, showing them to non-cleared people, storing them in unsecured areas and refusing to return them is no big deal. But they should have locked up Hillary (the Presidential candidate at the time) for something similar, but less egregious.
A President or Presidential candidate cannot be prosecuted for any crime. But Biden should be prosecuted for various crimes including having classified documents. And Presidential candidate Hillary should have been locked up for classified documents.
Prosecuting the opposition leader / Presidential candidate is how banana republics do things. There is truth in this, however letting a party leader get away with anything is also how banana republics work. In the US, false charges won't lead to indictments because there are significant legal barriers and too many people from both parties are involved. “Which is Fox too” is the recurring theme of this guy’s life, just like his hires are “the best people” until they say something negative, or he got shafted by the Emmy awards, or he’s not responsible for paying all those contractors, or he wins golf tournaments at his own club, or Trump University wasn’t a scam or whatever.
I’m sure we all remember time as little kids when there was one child who either won the game or threw a tantrum.
