Dementia Joe gets his marching orders from campaign advisor Airhead Ocasio-Cortes. She has called for complete defunding of police departments across the country. He is now complying with her.

It is way more odd coming from a Trump supporter. Trump is historically far behind at this point in this election cycle. He is behind in almost every swing state poll, far worse off than he was at this point in 2016 against Hillary. He hasn't gained any supporters. He has lost supporters including a lot of older white women and many (but of course not all) Evangelicals. He was interesting as an outsider in 2016. He has proven to be a corrupt buffoon.
By nature I’m cautious and I don’t believe in victory laps until after a victory. But that’s just me.
Cautious is what you are. No harm in making a prediction though, and right now everything points to a Biden win. Biff believes Trump will win by a landslide, and there's just nothing to support that thinking at all.

This stuff never ceases to amaze me. I just can't get my head around people like this actually existing.
But one thing that I find even more insane is when they come back and issue some kind of "apology" and tell everyone that what we all see isn't the real them and they really aren't racist - the video just caught them at a bad moment!

Strangely I’d have more respect for them if they stood by theIr statements and didn’t roll over and back track so quickly like the cowardly weasels they are. They should own their racism.

I can tell you that neither I nor anyone I know identifies themselves as an "evangelical" unless the name comes up, which it basically never does except in rare cases like this discussion. But you didn't know that because you know almost nothing about evangelicals.
Evangelical churches do all operate independently. The rare exceptions aren't even worth considering. Your insistence that "we" should "break off" and "find a new name" also shows you know almost nothing. There is no "we", because "we" are all independent from each other.
Stay in your lane Flaggy. You don't know what you are talking about.
Dude, this is my lane. I am not sure how old you are, but I was a practicing Christian until I was almost 40. I grew up in the church with a pastor for a father and as such went to every possible service, youth group, outing, etc. as a kid and then taught Sunday school with my wife for years until we had had enough of the crap that began to seep into our church. I had to deal with people coming into our church who identified as Evangelicals. You are not right about this. There is nothing you have told me that I do not already know. My YOU was to YOU and your own church. Don't make me think you aren't as smart as I have thought. ANYONE who isn't happy with the label of an Evangelical, whether loosely apply or not should do something about it. Since YOUR church is independent, how about "FormerlEvangicals".
And again, NO, not all Evangelical churches are independent. I don't want to do the work for you, but there are TONS of them in the US that have EVANGELICAL in their name (many also that do not), and they have structured conferences, boards, hierarchy, etc. My own Methodist Church (of which I am still a member) has an Evangelical split off called the Evangelical Methodist Church of America. They run a college, have a conference, etc. Go do the research for yourself and learn something. You are not right about this. It isn't just a few rare exceptions. Again, initially you said NONE of them had any hierarchy. Now you are trying to backtrack. You are wrong. Accept defeat. Just because you are a devout Evangelical Christian does not mean you know everything about Evangelical Christians and their churches, because you do not. You do not know what you think you know.
You can be in this lane, but you need to learn some more first.
You are not going to convince anyone that a wayward Methodist understands Evangelical Christianity better than someone who has been attending a Baptist church since before he was born. I've been teaching Bible study for over 30 years. I'm a deacon and a trustee in my church. I even worked as a ministry intern at a Baptist church one summer while in college and seriously considered going to seminary.
You suggested that I split off when there is nothing to split off from. This is because your understanding of church polity is in the Methodist tradition, where this might make some sense. But you had no idea what you were talking about when it came to evangelicals who are almost all congregationalists who have nothing to split from.
Your example of the Evangelical Methodist Church of America only proves what I've been saying. It has only 399 churches worldwide. The number of evangelical churches in the world is easily in the hundreds of thousands.
You see, my only error was in not qualifying my statement and I admitted the error immediately. But your error was in a complete misunderstanding of evangelicals at large and you refuse to admit it at all.
7/8 Data
Things are falling apart - getting bad very quickly.
I'm looking at the 7 day moving average of daily deaths and nothing else.
Globally that number is rising quickly and the highest since around June 23. Up 5% in a week.
In the US that number is rising quickly and the highest since around June 29. Up 4% from a week ago.
In the US, looking at the 4 problem states (FL TX AZ CA) as one, the 7 day average of daily deaths is around 22% higher than a week ago and the highest recorded. 22% growth in a week is exactly what you don't want to see in an epidemic - that kind of growth leads to enormous numbers of deaths.
Week over week change in the 4 states by percent (again, 7 day moving average of daily deaths)
FL: +26%
CA: +26%
AZ: -5%
TX: +65%
In the world, Brazil and India are at all time highs in deaths. India just keeps stair-stepping up relentlessly. Brazil is mostly on a spiky plateau.
The hope for the US is that the July 4 holiday has fouled up stats beyond meaning for 7 days.
One interesting question is if the disease can re-establish itself in the Northeast. I think that will be tested as Floridians escape their state for the Northeast haven.

And let me say that this is typical of you Flagpole. You made the same kind of error as me when you guaranteed Hillary a victory. You did not qualify that statement with stuff like "unless he cheats" until much later. But you still refuse to admit that you were wrong.

You have a big issue with admitting you were wrong. You said that NO Evangelical churches have a hierarchy and that they were all independent. That is NOT true. I gave just ONE example, and that's enough to win this argument, but there are TONS of them in the US that have a structure, Bishops, annual conferences just for their members, etc. You actually did NOT admit your error immediately. You said something like "perhaps I should have said...", but then later you reneged on that. It does not matter how long you have been teaching, if you are a Deacon, etc. That experience apparently didn't teach you that there are TONS of Evangelical churches out there that are not just independent individual churches. Your statement about that was wrong. I have proven so. You show a big personality flaw by not being able to admit you didn't know that. Consider this something you have learned. If you have any future questions about Christianity or Evangelicals, be sure to ask. If you can't bring yourself to do that, I highly suggest that you research something specific if you wish to disagree with me on facts in the future. You can have a different opinion, but you can not have different facts.

As I said a while ago, we just need some time after NE eased measures to see the numbers creep up again. As for the red states led by tzees, don’t expect to see much improvement as these bad numbers are just the start. And in FL, most things are still open and people are very careless following the great leadership of the governor.

INCORRECT! I see you have accepted that you have lost this argument, so you are trying to find something else that maybe you can be right about. That is a losing argument strategy. I absolutely did qualify that statement in the thread that no longer exists. I have asked here for the brojos to put that thread back so I can prove it (though to be honest, I don't have a burning need to, because I really don't care what people say about my truthfulness on a message board). I encourage you to ask them to do so. Sorry, brother, but just because you don't remember everything I ever posted, doesn't mean I didn't post it, and I absolutely did...my hand to God (and even though I am agnostic today, that doesn't mean I do not believe in God, only that I am not sure, and I would never make that statement if I indeed did not do what I said I did).
Bottom line...
You said ALL Evangelical churches were independent.
I proved that not all are.
You were proven wrong.
I was proven right.
No spin on your part will make that bottom line untrue.
