Bicarb for a 10k at that speed is hilarious as it is.
Interestingly I recently found out that the bicarb hype has been very much misleading and that outside of elite middle distance track athletes there is no real benefit to taking it. The stuff sold to the public (Maurten and a few others now) doesn't even have a dose high enough to provide any of the supposed performance gains as it would make the average hobby jogger fill their shorts up within a few Km .
It is extremely hard for a human stomach to digest enough of it to be able to get those gains hence why its only really viable for shorter middle distance events and even then its a risk and something that has to be practised a lot before trying in any big race to get timing right.
