The event which occurs the most is most likely the correct one. Putting faith in one source- especially when it has poor methodology is plain stupid. You must also look to the history. I for one am struggling with my feelings towards immigration in my own country. But then I start looking at the history. When have people been most displeased with immigrants and why? Based in that I can look at my own feelings in a new light.
If you are to close to the source you should be relying on others input for data. Since Trump is the president of the US it makes sense to listen more to people living in countries you look up to instead of what people in your own country are thinking. Do you look up to China, Russia, Mexico or Denmark? If you don't look up to any single country then you definitely know you are in the wrong and must take a step back.
Are you hearing yourself? "I'm an expert because I have a postgrad degree". You know what Trump and Musk have in common? They went solely to Wharton (though Musk was accepted to a PhD program at Stanford). A TON of other leaders are like that as well - just did an undergrad degree. About immigration - you're basically saying that they're bringing crime and welfare usage, but you feel too woke with some random guilt over something you didn't do to say anything about it

In most of the countries they issue you with voter ID to take with you. Republicans plans do not include this - they rely on individuals already having a passport or drivers license.

Yeah. It would be nice to have a functioning opposition party as Trump and the Republicans rip the country to shreds.
The Democrats are just so pathetic though. The opposition should be able to actually stop the government from doing unconstitutional things like impoundment.

Bongino's earnings as radio talk show host and podcaster was estimated at $4.9 million for 2024 alone. As Deputy Director of the FBI, his salary will top out around $208,000/year. Regardless of your political view, everyone should respect that Bongino is making a huge financial sacrifice by taking this job. He cares about the country and the corruption in the FBI.
I was surprised by this pick, given Bongino's lack of prior admin experience, but props to Patel for appointing him. Patel is showing that he wants action in the field, not more bureaucratic "committees" to "make recommendations."
Patel has followed up his pre-appointment rhetoric by firing/reassigning the entire 7th floor of leadership in the FBI on his first day in office, reassigning 1,500 DC personnel to locations around the country over the weekend, and now appointing Bongino to #2 top cop in the US.
As far as Bongino's lack of experience is concerned, Bongino can pick the best and brightest of the 1,500 being reassigned to be his admin guy/gal. Bongino's job will be enforcement and to take some of the heat off Patel.
