538 polling average has Harris up by 2.9 in MI. A month ago, Trump was up by 0.9.
In Wisconsin, Harris is up by 3.6 points. On August 1, she was up 1.2.
In PA, Harris is up by 1.5 points. On July 30, she was up by 0.5.
Yes, it's close, and you could probably say that it's a toss up in those 3 states. But in all 3 states, Harris has made up ground over the last month or so and has a lead in all 3 states. She is trending in the right direction, while Trump is sinking. Unless the orange man can turn it around, Harris is going to continue to attract the undecided voters, and by November she'll be ahead by much more.
Bottom line, anyone would rather be in Harris' position than Trump's at this time.

Although I did read an interesting bit from one polling company, trying to adjust for distrustful alienated m'agas:

In the past, if m'agas just started screaming at the pollster, it was marked as a 'no answer.'

now, if a m'aga starts screaming at the pollster and it's clear he is indeed a Trump fan, he is marked as a Donny Epstein vote.

If more polling companies are doing that, it might eliminate some of the trump overperformance in the ballot booth. And therefore the polls might be more accurate this time. Fingers crossed.

I think a good chunk of non committed voters are motivated by momentum and the polls won't reflect that level honesty. People don't want to side with losers. They may say they are for Harris or Trump but as we get closer to election if their pick seems to be on their way to losing that voter might just stay home.

I'll leave it at this. Senile Biden did not even campaign in 2020 and he beat Trump the incumbent. Harris is young, sharp, superbly funded, knows how to control the headlines, and the Ds are united. Trump is that much older now, he's got a terrible VP, he is stuck in a lot of issues that both side care about a lot, and he's focused only on commenting his m6ga base and not appealing to new voters. Oh and let's not forget Nikki consistently took 15-25% of primary votes and she ran an anti-trump campaign. Worse of all, Trump has no answer to Harris' rise.
