That doesn't help before or after the event.

The media is handing Trump this election and they don’t even realize it.
There was almost no talk of covid spread during 2-3 weeks of nationwide BLM protests. The media went silent on issue. Cases spiked 2 weeks after the protests started, and still, the media didn’t connect the dots.
Now Trump holds ONE rally in one state and every other headline is about people spreading covid, people not wearing masks...etc.
The media gave him $2+ billions' worth of free publicity in 2016, and ushered him into the White House.
Why wouldn't they do the same this year? Hey, the man generates clicks!

How does this hand Trump the election?

What would that make any difference to Trump?

Because it just furthers his narrative that the media is biased against him and can’t be trusted to be fair and truthful. I’m not a conspiracy theorist and I really dislike both candidates, but I have to admit, the entire media handling of covid 19 DOES make it look like they were just trying to tank the economy and sink Trump, rather than report the truth about the disease and protect people. When George Floyd was killed, the media shifted gears and pounced on coverage of that as another opportunity to highlight the problems with Trump’s presidency. But they conveniently ignored the way protests were spreading covid, and it looks really hypocritical—and is only feeding Trump’s base with more fuel.
The Tulsa "crowd" at Trump's rally has this to say to you . . . .
The "overflow" outdoor area has already been closed. It was not "filling" up as planned. Trump does not want anyone to see that his super size crowd did not materialize. It appears that the few people who were waiting outside have been ushered inside the area because it seems a little light on attendance.

YAWN!!! That broken record only plays to 20% of the people--the diehard trumpers. The other 20% of conservatives who vote republican are not that clueless.
The Moran in chief is going to be really angry at the garbage turnout - expect firings.
The whole point was supposed to make Trump optimistic and pumped. Hah.
Loving this.

Point taken, and I can easily believe that the protests have spread *some* SARS-CoV-2; but research is showing that *almost* all transmission of the virus happens indoors (where President Trump's rallies are) and not outdoors.
Trump's base is locked in, and has been for months, so feeding them more fuel is mostly redundant at this point: That 40% or so is essentially ineradicable. The only question is whether the foolishness of a sliver of (alleged) leftists will pull him more independent votes, or keep Dem voters home.
On the other hand, whether *you* will vote for Trump--if you vote for anyone--is *not* a question. Telling us that you "really dislike both" doesn't change the fact that you are clearly for Trump, and that your posts reflect that.

They should be put into museums.

That statue is on private property, btw. Big difference.
Lest we forget:

Not only that...from one of the best to the worst ever.
Paints a picture of the wide divide in political outlook in USA, and the difficulty in a moderate winning

Glad you pegged me so well—I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 and I won’t in 2020 either.
My point was, I understand why he won in 2016 and I wouldn’t count him out in 2020. Like it or not, Trump in all his narcissistic glory embodies the values of a large portion of our country today. Social media obsessed, materialistic, self promoting, easily offended, pursues money and celebrity status at all costs.
From the Washington Post:
Trump boasted about getting Supreme Court Justices Neil M. Gorsuch and Brett M. Kavanaugh onto the bench, but the crowd gave a few boos at the mention of Gorsuch, who provided a key vote this week to prevent discrimination against gay and transgender people in the workplace.

Here in NYC I am surrounded by Dems/libs and literally *not one* has said s/he thinks President Trump is definitely going to lose. They seem to have a pretty good grasp of how tight the race is going to be.
Trump rally thread mocking small crowd size is deleted. Triggered mods can’t take it. Letsrun is such a joke.
