We have more cases than anyone else in the world because we tested more people than anyone else in the world. If we test fewer people, we get fewer cases. And one day, it will simply disappear like a miracle when we test no person. Just like our President predicted.

Nobody around him could possibly have poorer judgement... the only tweets that aren't his are the ones with some substance that do not contain grammatical errors

It says they rated the "national response"... but did the survey actually say WH or federal government?

The polling question was "Relative to how much the U.S. spends on healthcare, do you think that the national response to the COVID-19 outbreak has been excellent, very good, good, fair or poor?"

The response choices seem leading in that they typically would be more symmetrical like" very good, good, neutral, poor, very poor". Also Gallup groups fair and poor together in the results as if they were both clearly negative.

Finally the yahoo headline is misleading in that the result seems to be 23% Excellent/VG + 20% G which seems less unfavorable than the headline would suggest.

Welp, just got the word that it looks like I've lost one of my coaching gigs: private HS, Manhattan, NYC. The school apparently expects that fall sports will be written off.

Glad to find out now--makes it easier to adjust--but I feel bad for the kids. Looks like some with talent will lose their senior xc seasons.

People are keeping open minds--September isn't *that* close--but this ties in to my impression about NYC's reopening. The reopening's Phase Two (of four) is supposed to start Monday and it's just not looking good. Too many people are flouting the guidelines.
