The next thing that needs to start trending is:
#electiondayoff
We need to start pressuring companies to give their employees time off to vote in November. Companies are falling all over themselves to demonstrate to their employees and customers that they are on board with #blacklivesmatter. But they can't credibly say that if they make it hard for their workers to vote for change.

I wonder which side will be complaining about this "censorship"

I really did not expect this. OTOH I've been informed that some Trump partisans are still reluctant to tell pollsters about their true leanings, so I take polls with several grains of salt.
That doesn't gainsay that The Gap is *widening* but it might suggest that the 14-15% figures are larger than reality.
geez, Expect some bigtime firings at the trump campaign pretty soon. The Lincoln Project has been needling trump about how the current head of the campaign is buying ferraris and condos with Trump's money...combine that with what looks like a historic thumping and it's time for change at campaign hq.
Pretty soon Biden will choose a veep and that will capture the headlines for a week, probably helping biden even more.
Although as you say...this kind of gap is probably not real or sustainable.
RCP now has Biden at +8.4%. Landslide.
I don't think Biden's VP choice is going to help him.

That kind of behavior has been encouraged by our moron President. The election in November will go a long way toward quelling that type of behavior. Right now they feel entitled. They will be angry initially after the loss, but they will shut their yaps except for a very few. Most people do respond to societal pressures about what is acceptable, and they take cues from our leaders, and so most of them will keep their racist thoughts to themselves.
Donald Trump is a low point after decades of progress. We will rebound big time when he is out of office.
IF Trump loses in November this is correct. The GOP will have to move away from the losing Trump brand and most everything it entails. Again I say IF, I’m not taking anything for granted and no one should.
Let’s be real here. Racists aren’t going to change because Biden is elected. They are going to feel even angrier that their openly pro-white leader was brought down by the deep state. The best we can hope for is that they cower away from expressing their hatred on social media and don’t infect others with their racism. We are going to see some of these subhumans go out with a bang though when their world falls apart in November. Maybe the police will redeem themselves and shoot to kill on spot when these fools come out waving their guns to intimate protesters.

Absolutely but they have felt more empowered and have spoken up more in the last few years in my opinion.
I was talking more about the direction the GOP will go if Trump loses and they feel they need to try a different tactic to win more of the middle ground.

Prior to the election in 2016, I told more than a few people that I thought a Trump victory would empower the racists of the country and potentially cause much civil unrest. He exceeded my expectations.

From the article:
“We’re not trying to become Democrats,” Borges explained. “I intend to vote for every other Republican on the ballot."
It's not going to be a "reset" as long as GOPers are willing to vote for those who've *enabled* Donald Trump for 3 1/2 years. DJT is exactly where the Republican party has been headed for several decades--he just got there before a lot of the GOP establishment was ready for it. But the fiscal irresponsibility, the cronyism, the theocractic impulses, the racism, the know-nothingism, the antiscience culture, and the sheer mean-spiritedness were all there long before Trump's ascendance, and are there now.

Hear, hear! It's a long way from now to Nov. 3 and the President is bound to rebound. The media will give him billions of dollars' worth of free pub (again); Russia and likely others will work hard to keep Americans divided and the American government weak (i.e. Trump-led); and the President's enablers in Congress and the statehouses, and his core voters, will fight desperately because they have a solid sense (much better than the Dems' IMO) of what they can lose.
By 11/3 I expect the presidential race to be a toss-up, if DJT is not slightly favored.

All absolutely true but IF Trump loses in November, I think the party will try a different tact. Something less divisive than Trump.

These idiots are little different from the Nazis behind the "July Plot" of 1944, who only wanted Hitler out of the way, but not to concede what the Nazi state had achieved.

Pushing the silent majority underground while the left openly applaud anarchy, defunding the police and chaos in our cities. How stupid is the left? They have no clue what’s coming.

I would say he has the ability to be a clear favorite still given there are no limits to his corruption, especially if he’s desperate. Putin will also step up his game to keep us leaderless under trump.

Huh? I've seen a ton of hats and bumper stickers, plus a sea of lawn signs (some left over from four years ago). WTF are you talking about?
It wouldn't surprise me if a sliver of Trump voters ('16 and/or '20) kept quiet about it, but "most"? Even in the Greater NYC area there are visible and vocal Trump supporters.

Congratulations on getting every single thing wrong in your post, although I don’t think that is hard for you. You are going to be shell shocked very soon and in chronic denial about your one hit wonder orange hero. I can’t wait to see you hang around getting destroyed on this thread after he loses.
FYI
There is no silent majority - just a dying minority of loud mouth breathers
Pushing them underground? Lol those snowflakes are a bunch of blowhards with VERY thin skin living in trump’s alternate reality. Most will cower away to whatever they consider their bunkers.
Anarchy, chaos? Right. You need to come off that orange kool aid high. Are those black protesters too scary for you?
Rest assured the bulk of the brain dead incels including you are tucked very nicely within the GOP.
Another blue wave is going to slap you silly.
Nothing compares to conman dementia don. You should find other role models.

I expect there is a lot of truth in that.

LOL - that's your explanation? You are delusional and desperate, but most of all you are just dead wrong. Conservatives left your dead beat party long ago and trump supporters are by far the loudest, most repulsive and obnoxious chest beaters out there... the only problem for you and saving grace for the country is that you are the minority. Trump's GOP approval rating should hit 100% by November, when tzees will make up slightly less than 40% of the electorate. Your existence is about to get irretrievably miserable.

I guess your 'silent majority' forgot to vote in 2016 when Hillary got 3,000,000 more votes than Trump? Same for 2018, when the Democrats took back the House?
