That doesn't gainsay that The Gap is *widening* but it might suggest that the 14-15% figures are larger than reality.

geez, Expect some bigtime firings at the trump campaign pretty soon. The Lincoln Project has been needling trump about how the current head of the campaign is buying ferraris and condos with Trump's money...combine that with what looks like a historic thumping and it's time for change at campaign hq.

Pretty soon Biden will choose a veep and that will capture the headlines for a week, probably helping biden even more.

Although as you say...this kind of gap is probably not real or sustainable.

That was one of the worst-written anything I have ever read. From what I can tell from it though, this guy didn't do anything illegal. His postings aren't illegal. Listing cop killers as heroes makes him a punk, if he indeed actually did that as it is conveniently not available anymore, but it's not illegal. Yeah, Biden will win easily as long as he is breathing. It's just a matter of by how much. The only good thing about really bad things is they can be the mark of the turning point. Trump will be remembered as a turning point from really horrible to better. We are going to be a kinder, gentler nation after he is gone. I am sure of that. What is counter to what Trump and his idiot followers wanted, women have gained more power during his tenure. Minorities of all stripes have gained more power during his tenure. Black people especially will have gained more power and more respect from the general populace than ever before. It's all due to push back of Trump and his ideals. His fool supporters don't even get that. If the investigations into the NRA regarding illegally helping him win in 2016 with foreign money ever gets traction, we may see that he permanently damaged them too.

Trump ruins everything he touches. Only fools continue to support him.

The US continues down the backside of the curve in terms of deaths, even as several states record surging cases. That paradox is not yet resolved.

The US hit another low in the 7 day average of daily deaths.

6/16: 712

6/9: 835

5/16: 1,384

That's not a gentle down curve...that's almost a fall off a cliff.

Note that the stock market saw this coming.

The world is not good news...it looks like India did a catchup day, adding 2,000+ deaths in one day. After typically having around 400 deaths per day. I'll include the catchup day as real unless worldometers makes an adjustment.

The Indian surge raised the global 7 day average to its highest since May 18, after an irregular downward trip of a few weeks. We'll have to wait 7 days for this day to roll out of the average.

In the rankings. the Indian catchup worsened that nation's position to 105th worst, per capita. It was 112th worst last week. Oh yeah and they are battling China on its undefined border.

that's the positive spin...the negative spin is if the GOP continues to be run by Trump or Trumpers, and they marshal all the white hot fury of non-college white men into violence or rebellion.

Have you seen these interviews with non-college white men? The angriest person in the world is a white 40 year old man in a red state. These people are consumed with the red mist and I'm not sure they want a safe ending to this campaign. Any decent leader could corral them and use their hate for really bad stuff.

exaclty - guys like that are so utterly furious...hard to see how they re-integrate into a centrist model of politics. They are out for blood. Same with that guy in MO who screamed at the teenagers, the crazy cyclist in MD, this guy, others. The question is if they crossed a line and can't be pulled back into traditional US politics, with both parties playing between the 40 yard lines. Or 30 yard lines anyway.

That kind of behavior has been encouraged by our moron President. The election in November will go a long way toward quelling that type of behavior. Right now they feel entitled. They will be angry initially after the loss, but they will shut their yaps except for a very few. Most people do respond to societal pressures about what is acceptable, and they take cues from our leaders, and so most of them will keep their racist thoughts to themselves.

Donald Trump is a low point after decades of progress. We will rebound big time when he is out of office.

IF Trump loses in November this is correct. The GOP will have to move away from the losing Trump brand and most everything it entails. Again I say IF, I’m not taking anything for granted and no one should.

This is good. I'm glad law enforcement is being held accountable. Just because he hates cops doesn't allow the police to violate his civil rights. And if they are paying him a settlement it's because they believe that he has a good case.
