This is a fair retort- and in all honesty, there have been cases of Israeli war crimes (for example that journalist a few months ago). I'm probably splitting hairs in your view, but I don't think bombing a building with military value after warning everyone to evacuate is as bad as breaking into someone's house and shooting them while they are un-armed.
In the end the last sentence should be the goal. I just do not know how that happens while Hamas is in charge. They have in their charter the complete end of Israel, they kill any Palestinian opposition, and one of their leader said they want a fully Islamic world. Israel had just let in more Gaza Residents with work permits (Progress, no matter how small) and they still went ahead with this attack.
Suppose Israel does stop now, does anything in the future actually change? Counterpoint: if they do go in, do they get stuck in an Urban Quagmire? And while many here do not worry about it, I do worry that too many Palestinian deaths, while also being a tragedy, does create a lack of support from the international community, leading to issues for Israel.

but the more interesting point is how brazenly murderous Hamas is. Very very few groups actively go shoot 1000 civilians and then brag about it, knowing your people will cheer for it. The Nazis knew not to tell all their citizens what they were doing in the camps, because of some element of shame and morality in the German nation. Apparently Hamas/Palestinians do not have that element.

But they had a lot of rubble and amongst that rubble thousands are slaughtered even before the attack.

It’s highly likely regimes hide this stuff to avoid potential future prosecution for war crimes and NOT some wonderful degree of morality. Either way the outcome is the same.
