Here’s my prediction, once Emma comes back from vacation, she will have a short depression because she is unemployed. Then while applying to real jobs she will try to grasp at any straws to stay relevant in the influencer sphere, maybe a couple of videos or podcasts until she has a full time job and quits for good. By 2024 she’ll be out of the game.

Honestly if On is employing someone who told a 17 year old girl to sexualize his adult friend, then they deserve any criticism that comes with that.

What scares me is that Crawford and others have a lot of pull in the media and can get the media to bury this story. He had that cocky video of how he and all the boys were talking about how good they were in HS and making fun of girls, etc.

If I was a female runner I'd be super-pissed. Props to txrunnergrl for hating on their behaviors too. They are very immature...even Middle Schoolers are better in some regards.

Wisner must have a lot of pull to still be able to post his stories.

My hunch is--and I may be 100% wrong and I know that--is that these little boys' parents have a lot of pull in running media/corporations in that area and can get the corporations to bend to their will. Hence, no professional misconduct punishments...

I think Emily Abbate is affiliated with them too. Name sounds familiar when I went to the ON IG page.

Abbate is the host of the Hurdle podcast. It's more of a "wellness"/high achievers interview podcast than it is entirely focused on running, but she interviews a lot of runners. She's not affiliated with New Gen, unless you count having been interviewed by Emma Abrahamson once as being affiliated, which I think is a big stretch. On has paid to fly a few different influencers/tiktokers/podcasters in the running scene out to Budapest.

Eh, I don't think so. Obviously the people on this board (myself included) pay a lot of attention to the corporations and personalities in the professional running scene, but it's a pretty small pond. Wisner's parents would have to be some really high level Nike or Adidas execs or World Athletics corporate players for anyone to care about "protecting" him and his work. His parents are probably just your run-of-the-mill upper middle class couple from suburban Pennsylvania.

It's more likely that On had commissioned this article from Wisner before the NG camp drama went down, deemed the article to be far enough removed from anything involving the camp (which it is), and ran it to keep Nuguse in the press. It sounds like On is rethinking their financial support of NG as a brand, but they probably don't think that warrants retroactively shelving this article about Nuguse just because Wisner wrote it. I do think that more shoe companies will be wary of partnering with NG going forward, and that NG may find it harder to get press credentials at some meets, but I think that will be the extent of professional repercussions for the camp drama.
