Seth not getting a coach for himself is what led him down this path IMO. Any outsider would have told him to take it. I get that having someone coach him would make his viewers perceive that he’s not a good coach himself, but in reality, professionals see other professionals for help. Physicians aren’t their own patient for this very reason. You can’t be objective if you’re the receiver of your own coaching.
I recall her on a video saying the Golden Trail organisers moved Pikes Peak to the Ascent to avoid going up against Seth. Like they didn’t want that smoke.
Just to point out: yesterday (Sunday)'s Comment of the Day was on a Video from 1year ago = Seth is still actively avoiding the real comments on his recent videos about his egg-driving & injury woes
Like I've said before..I'm Irish,I've seen this BS first hand here..,she's a typical Irish Mammy who's job is to bring Gods children into the world (however many they can)and watched herself get increasingly overweight while supporting the hubby in anything he wants,and he see,'s his role as basically a sperm donor..it's a toxic relationship enabling each other.
It looks like our man continues his favorite kind of cross-training: deleting any YouTube comments with even the slightest hint of constructive criticism.
Shoe review video days are such a drag for this thread lol. Seth, the people need VLOGS. We need to see that egg consumption, reckless driving, incoherent ramblings, pseudo-scientific training philosophy leading to injuries, interrupting your wife, unnecessary set shots of mundane daily tasks, etc.! Anyone else catch that in one of these recent shoe reviews, he said something to the effect of "by the way, I do not donate or give away my shoes once I've reviewed them, even if they only have 25-50 miles on them, cause I want to be able to compare them to future versions."

I actually think Seth might slip into depression. This youtube and running thing is all he has and if that goes out the window he might end up being a wino. And I actually think we might watch it all go down on youtube... legit scared on what might happen next.
This thread has me genuinely sad. I watched a couple of Seth's videos ~3 years ago. The channel just wasn't for me and I never got into it, but I thought he was a fun, inspiring, likeable guy. The first dozen pages of this thread were downright hilarious, but it's steadily become more and more real / depressing. I haven't watched a single SJD video since then yet this thread has me genuinely hoping that things work out and Seth's current downward spiral can be stopped.
Not to split hairs, but one of my biggest pet-peeves is when people come out of hospital and keep the wristbands on so that people will ask "omg what happened?!?" "I went to urgent care yesterday" 1) it's not urgent Seth, stop pulling doctors away from people who actually need them 2) you've kept the wristbands on for 24hrs now. grow up. "it was a 6 or 7" (on the pain scale) ....so definitely not urgent. "she rolled over something... something... a knot" .... so this is just a knot? Hey zeus cripes! SJD just discovered the cutting edge sports medicine technique known as MASSAGE! Of course, he has to spout bulls**t about it right away about how his runner's lungs allows the therapist to get deeper into his muscles. Less is more, Seth! Just shut the f**k up and simply recommend deep tissue work to your hobby jogger minions without adding your dumb mother f**king spin based on nothing.
