Odd that no other coaches are listed on their site, just Jimmy
They have Jim Boulanger listed on Men's Cross Country and Men's Track & Field. Robert Hoppler listed on Women's Cross Country, and Robert Hoppler and Casey Carroll listed on Women's Track & Field. All are listed as head coaches. All are listed as Distance coaches I think. I assume Hoppler is the xc and long distance coach and Carroll is the middle distance coach??? No assistant coaches listed.
Is this a restructure with the current staff that they have to post by state law, or is this a complete overhaul/restructure? Any philosophical motivation from the athletic department for restructuring?
BITD they had only one men’s coach and one women’s coach. The mishmash of titles seemed like a way to bring in another full time coach.
Not sure what they’re doing but the admins seem (from an outsiders view) to want to diversify so badly that they will do it even if that means blowing the staff up entirely.
Hope Hop and Casey make it through this transition. Both are good people and good coaches (in a less than ideal setting for success).

Hop will be taking the Director job. Jim is retiring and they will restructure.

This.
It's a national search because it has to be. Hop will be director (rightfully), and will hire whatever assistants he needs to fill event roles.

Good logic, it does seem ridiculous that the new HC would let go of Rhonda, but that is 100% the decision he has made.
He’s a fool. Firing a strong and very capable female who is performing well without cause is not a good look for him or Duke at all.

I realize you're on letsrun, so reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. So lets recap.
Nothing "OFFICIAL" has happened here. /Done
All of this is literally AGITPROP and may very well be for nothing. My evidence, Mizzou and Brett Halter.
Show me even a social media post that suggests this, or GTFO... Because next week you'll be like, "you do realize the national meet is next week right?" Then it will be "you do realize the trials are soon, right?" and "you do realize their camps are soon, right?"
I'm not excluding the idea that this might happen, but until someone unburies something suggesting any of this, talking about this as though it's proven fact has played very poorly here in the past.
And I'll give heave to one more idea. The Petros is leaving concept has been here for a few months, and it was true. But it was easier to believe because it was just "Petros is leaving", end of story. In LR's hivemind, Duke has decided to blow up the staff that just won ACCs, has already literally hired everyone they want, all in the course of 6 days? This fails the simple test of Occam's Razor. I suppose it's technically possible, but it seems wildly implausible.
Riley seen , NOT wearing Duke gear at East prelim, could this speculate that she is out?

I'll be the first to speculate :
Petros to Arkansas?
Pro: has everything he wants from UGA,
Con : its one gender

That’s the topic you’re going to speculate on after seeing this release?
U think he going to be an assistant lol? Nah I don't think so
Makes perfect sense, and then he can take over Arkansas like he did at Georgia.
Regarding Duke, Shawn and Rhonda may have agreed to part ways. Rhonda may not have wanted to stay on under his direction. That happens all the time. Female coaches land on their feet, anyway.
Are there any worthy women for the Duke gig?
My sources have confirmed Caryl is leaving USC for Georgia
Where are what is Cody Clark doing? Out of the profession? As far as I know he has only ever worked at SFA.

Reckart from Penn State is taking the Duke job.
Anybody at the NCAA East Prelims see anything interesting? Any athletic directors out and about? Any schools being extra chummy with one another? Head coaches taking special interest in other schools’ assistants?
Come on people! Those are the tell tell signs of who’s getting what job.
Big hires are in the west region.
But on another topic if Petros is unhappy with the Georgia setup I don’t think he would be very happy with the USC facility setup. Probably one of the worst for a big program.

Something must of went down for him to “resign” this abruptly. Forced resignation maybe!? Disagreement between himself and buckman? As a former HC he may not have worked well with having to take orders as an assistant heard buckman isn’t easy to work for.
Athletic Directors do not go to XC and Track Meets and they are not going to go to a meet and talk to coaches about an opening they have at their school. Pretty much unethical and in most conferences illegal.

Associate/assistant/underling AD’s do at least. Happens all the time.
