Any bets on whether Fox says, "Oops--joke's on us!"--or doesn't acknowledge it at all, instead?

Gold but FOX and the mouth breathing worshippers are way too dumb to pick up on something like this.

This will be a win for trump- he’s been losing evangelical support and now he can say ‘we need more right wing scotusers’ so ignore my breakage Of most of the commandments and vote trump’

That is just too funny.
So I opened up discussion on the killing of Rashard Brooks by an Atlanta police officer. I asked if anyone thought it was a justified shooting and nobody said it was.
That's kind of interesting in itself because I think that in the past at least someone would have spoken up and made some sort of excuse for the cop.
But since everyone seems to agree that this shooting was tragic and unjustified, I'd like explore a different question.
This officer obviously made a fatal mistake. I'm sure if he had it to do all over again he would not have shot and killed Mr. Brooks. But he was caught up in the heat of the moment with adrenaline surging. Fear and anger overtook this officer. There is no doubt that his emotions contributed to his decision to pull his gun and fire.
So if a trained officer can't be trusted to make good decisions with a deadly weapon, why do we entrust a handgun to that angry guy at the end of the block who is always getting drunk and yelling at his wife and kids?

If you keep posting that stuff over and over and over, then you're really no better at meming/posting than Biff is.
Just because you found some stuff that you thought was on point at one time . . . doesn't mean that you have to post it on a daily basis. Time for some new material.

No celebrating prior to crossing the finish line.
Yesterday’s SCOTUS decisions were just a bone tossed to the left prior to a slew of upcoming 5-4 decisions on Trump’s tax documents and abortion that will favor the right / GOP / Trump. Don’t mistake Gorsuch for a lib—he is not a lib.
6/15 Data
Good for the US, a little backslide for the world.
The headline continues to be that the 7 day moving average of daily deaths in the US is falling rapidly.
US:
6/15: 747
6/8: 841
5/15: 1,413
Its fall only seems to be accelerating.
The world had a good run but it ended with a rise yesterday:
Globe:
6/15: 4,337
6/8: 4,410
5/15: 4,598
Globe is still in an intermediate-term decline, but a shallow decline that could become plateau or worse pretty easily.
In the US state rankings, GA went a step in the wrong direction. After being 18th worst state for a long time, it passed NH in the wrong direction and is now 17th worst. GA marked 43 deaths yesterday, second most of any state. (raw numbers, not per capita).

You bring up two issues which we are very backward in, with a third one folded in as usual.
One is that of police training. They are not trained to use their fire arm and other lethal techniques as last resort measures. What we all gather from these incidents is that they are trained to react based on feeling threatened, which has been a totally subjective determination. It seems a stick and taser would do the trick in most situations, so why do we keep seeing these police shootings.
The second is gun rights. Our freedom to own a handgun with little to no training and evaluation trumps someone’s else’s right to live freely and safely. As always this could be argued but practically this is how it has been working. It’s completely fkd up, but unfortunately too many continue not to care. I think improvement in this area would reduce the number of deadly shootings by police as well as we could reduce some of this wild wild west thinking.
The third issue is racism. You can peel away various other factors to explain these shootings and high levels of minority incarcerations but racism will always clearly play a role.
We are quite fkd in all the above issues.

I think it’s fair since Biff doesn’t give up his overplayed gig
This sounds unquestionably positive. A drug that eases the immune system self-destruction.

Rather than "fair" I'd say "equivalent", but having two equivalent piles of crap just means you're left with twice as much crap.
I too would prefer a lower crap to discussion ratio on the thread. It's out of my control what people chose to post, but recognizing and calling out your own side's bad behavior would go a long way in healing American politics.

That does sound outstanding. I wish the article had said something about peer review and expansion to larger trials.
