Now, the campaign-finance FELONIES for which his co-conspirator went to prison? Yeah, I'd be cool with his going behind bars for that. Won't happen, though.
Plenty of Nixon cronies went to prison. There are reasons to charge all of the mentioned with crimes. Trump is going to lose. Biden has said he will not pardon him. His best bet is to resign after losing but before Biden takes over and have Pence pardon him. Will be interesting to see how it all goes down.
The bolded part of your post is an interesting point—I hadn’t thought of that. IF Trump loses in November—and that is a big IF—I wouldn’t put it past him to try something like that. He pardons Pence + others, then resigns, and then Pence pardons Trump—all between Election Day and Inauguration Day. I assume that is legally possible. Any lawyers on here know? Also, cam Pence pardon Trump for the many, many financial crimes he is likely guilty of that the SDNY is currently investigating? In other words, can their be some sort of all encompassing pardon that covers both Trump’s crimes in office and those he committed prior to office.

Pence could pardon him for any federal crime. The even includes crimes he has not yet been charged with.
However, Tiny would have to trust that Pence would do this. I don't think Tiny trusts him that much.
My bet is that Tiny just flees to Turkey before Biden is inaugurated. Tiny would remain president until January 20, 2021.

But this really puts the cart before the horse. We are about to see the nastiest presidential election ever held.
Tiny's people are going to be spending millions on false Facebook ads and text messages. They are going to try to keep African Americans from voting by any means possible. This will include confusing voters about time and location of their polling places. I wouldn't be surprised to see the military called upon to intimidate people under the guise of "protecting the vote".
One of the reasons Tiny doesn't want to see mail-in ballots is because that makes it harder to keep certain people from voting.
Tiny knows he can't win a free and fair election. So he will do anything to make sure it is not free nor fair. The law be damned.

There cannot be a pre-emptive pardon. Pardons only apply to those convicted.

There is something wrong with his movements and speech.
Something is been hidden from the American public. For Trumps own health (mental and physical) it would be better for him to lose the election.
I think he's just old and fat. As we all know, Fat hurts.[/quote]
That may explain the walking issues but not drinking water with two hands. I’ve seen fat people drinking Big Gulps with just one hand.

No, he wouldn't. A president cannot abandon his job. He would almost immediately be removed from office.

Entirely false. See, for example, Gerald Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon:
" I, GERALD R. FORD, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, pursuant to the pardon power conferred upon me by Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, have granted and by these presents do grant a full, free, and absolute pardon unto Richard Nixon for all offenses against the United States which he, Richard Nixon, has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 20, 1969 through August 9, 1974." Not a chance. If he simply fled the country, say a month after an election defeat (I did say "if"), then there would not be nearly enough time for him to be impeached-and-convicted (and thus removed); and VP Pence would not invoke the 25th Amendment.
Not a chance.
You want fake news? Go to FOX.
FOX publishes false, digitally altered photos that further the right wing narrative of protests, gets called out, tries to backtrack but lies while doing so.

He wouldn't need to be impeached and he would be removed immediately. It would be similar to a President becoming incapacitated. What kind of a country to you think we live in?

I've seen plenty of old people with shaky hands. It's not necessarily as sign of a mental disorder.

Perhaps. Yes, he could be impeached and removed. But I foresee him going to Turkey just a few days before the inauguration. Congress probably wouldn't bother with impeachment.

The president doesn't stop being the president just because he leaves the country. And he certainly can't be removed immediately. Even an invocation of the 25th amendment takes time. And even though technically, the 25th amendment could be invoked, I highly doubt that would happen.
