This piece makes an interesting point:

Trump and HRC were so close in polling that all he had to do to win was pick up undecideds.

But Joe's lead is so large that won't work now. Trump must win both undecideds AND peel off Joe's supporters.

And remember that people who don't like either candidate are breaking heavily for joe in 2020. They broke for spanks in 2016. Another positive.

His ENTIRE speech was about what a "great day" it was for America, because of the economic news. He tied this to everything else he talked about. Earlier in the speech he says-

And later he says:

"And by the way, what’s happened to our country, and what you now see that’s been happening, is the greatest thing that can happen for race relations, for the African-American community, for the Asian-Americans, for the Hispanic American community, for women, for everything."

His view is that his "greatest of ALLLL economies in WORLD HISTORY" will lift everyone so much, there will be "equality" for all and "great race relations." And this what he ties to George Floyd and his death , which resulted from INequality. But now, with America "back", on its way to the greatest ever economy anyone has ever seen......equality for all will occur. And this must make George Floyd happy. It's great day for Asians, a great day for women, a great days for blacks, a great day for hispanics, a great day for EVERYONE. Yes, even a great day for George Floyd.

That's absolutely was his theme and point.

The plastic patriots who were ready to go to war because they couldn't get a haircut have been very quiet about the President threatening to use federal troops to "dominate" the streets of America, and actually using toxic gas and rubber bullets on Americans who were peacefully protesting. Seems like those self-proclaimed freedom fighters have turned into sheep almost overnight.

Besides being an big outlier, the Gallup poll was taken from 5/1-5/13. This was before Trump tear gassed Americans and hid in his bunker.

John Bolton's book is coming out on June 23rd and he's scheduling TV appearances all over the place to promote it. I can't imagine the book being all that flattering to the President so this will keep tweety bird busy for a month or so.

Been saying this for quite a while now. The Dems should not be misled by 2018 results, or current polls. The GOPers *are* terrified--though not just about physical danger. And scared people are strongly motivated to vote.

It is strange. These same folks were convinced that Obama was going to confiscate all of their guns, cancel the 2016 election and declare himself dictator for life. You would think they would learn but it just doesn't seem to happen.
